Love the plot and the manhuwa and all, but... I dunno.... The Duke (ML) kinda rubbed me the wrong way, especially when he kept 'bumping' into her whenever she was out. It kinda reminded me of Melissa's brother in Beware of the Villainess. It gave me this stalker-like vibe.
Of course, I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he was always there coincidentally (whenever she was out). But, I just can't shake off that vibe.
Idk, I think it's just me ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Truth, he isn't the worst but that doesn't mean he is good. I'm kind of enjoying Daisy for that. He isn't really trying to be nice but he is. He asks for consent and clears up misunderstandings before blowing up in the FL face. He also trusts her judgement. Alas it is slow going with the storyline and I can't find a translation of the book which apparently is smutty.
My ultimate Bias seems to be purple hair, black eyes, may not seem nice but has a heart of gold. I have 0 trust for people that are too nice I always think they are being shady. They are light on the outside dark on the inside I'd prefer dark on the outside light on the inside. Like the Duke from false confession. He is close to my ultimate bias just add some good natures teasing and you got me.
You also read "Daisy: How to Become the Duke’s Fiancée"? :)
I really enjoy the FL and ML in this story.
Because I really get the impression that they are kinda both on equal footing. Their power dynamic isn't that imbalanced or toxic like in the other fantasy romance reincarnated novel stories!
Daisy is despite her lineage that allowed her to turn back time actually just a plain simple modest nice girl that has the determination, inner rage/strenght and intelligence to make the best of her situation and fight within her limits. Not too op but also not weak, naive, fragile or easily lovestruck. The Duke/her Ml is an overused archetype but the author established that he is a fair considerate person and really respect/cares the FL without torturing/harming her out of tsundere mode. He can be very threatening but not without good reason.
I utterly love this ship. There is a reason he didn't want to marry/love but I don't want to spoil. Man I wish I could find the book translation I'm sure that restaurant scene was way spicier. Fuck asking for consent continuously and stopping when unsure what is this is it even manga. He also said women are not objects. He won me over so hard in that scene. If he had purple eyes that man would be my ultimate bias. I prefer a man who isn't necessarily nice on the outside but is on the inside. It is like something my friend mentioned. West Coasters are nice but not kind and East Coasters are kind but not nice. This is a gross generalization but I do identify with it as someone from NY who has resting bitch face. Like we will help you get your stroller up the stairs and walk off only making eye contact for a second to transmit intent to help.
This is so...... Refreshing? Interesting? Novel? I can't find the perfect word for it. It's different compared to the other isekai mangas. I feel like I could relate to her more than the MCs of the other mangas.
Like, the MCs of isekai mangas would have similar histories with each other (such as being a nerd, being anti-social, being a workaholic, being a geek or an Otaku). I mean, don't get me wrong, I can relate to some of them, but the MC of THIS manga feels more realistic compared to the other MCs of other mangas to the point where I could see myself in her shoes.
She's not that outstanding (to the point of having cheats). It even showed how hard she studied to fit in (I mean, let's be real, school may be a pain, but it did give us the learning skills). It made me respect and sympathize with her. I like this manga.
When I see the word 'Tyrant', MC's dad comes to mind.
This is a man that I want the fathers of those types of Isekai manhuwas to be. Literal fcking Tyrant to the point where it disgusts you. It makes it even more meaningful if that fcked up tyrant would actually turn around and care for the daughter that he tried to kill countless times.
It may sound fcked up, but only if that happens in RL. LET'S BE REAL, OKAY? MOST OF THE THINGS WE SEE IN MANHUWAS AND NOVELS ARE ALMOST LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE IN REAL LIFE.
They're impossible to do because they go against societal norms ND common sense! So unless you wanna be hated by the majority, most of it should remain fiction.
Anyways, I'm not disappointed with this manhuwa. I'm just disappointed that there aren't much "I was born as a tyrant's daughter.... " With a fcked up father like MC's dad.

Damn,,, when I read the novel, I had to research all of those myself. It's nice to see that the translator made an effort to actually do it.
Here, I'mma give you all mah lovve
♡(*´ω`*)/♡ !!! Thank you, you beautiful person for giving your time in researching this UWU!!
