I actually added some spoilers to my comment but it's not much so don't worry it's not even in order but Actually by getting rid of Emma we get rid of pretentious mielle she starts to show her worst sides more after Emma is hanged or the judge say's "off with her head" she even pushes her own dad off the stairs trying to frame Aria but the prince saves her

my parents were separated b'cos he had a lot of mistress. He was kicked out of our home when we found out. However even though we totally want him out of my life somehow he offered to send an allowance occasionally. It was ok, ofc since we needed help. Then recently we met up. He shared about his new lovers, even bragging about it at some point. Idk, where he got the idea that i was ok with it. But I ignored it. Then our conversation came to a point where he said non-verbatim 'You're lucky 'cos unlike other dads I still took responsibility and supported you,'
I swear I was so mind blown at the time. He left me speechless. Idk but he sounded like he wanted me fo give him cookie points for doing what a parent should do. I want to share more of his audacious statements but this one part of my life really striked me the most and I had a flashback when I read this scene.
