I think there exists an interesting subplot… Whem Ellie died in her first life, the person of her affection (her boss) was there crying over her. And now, a character who wasn’t really present in the game (Karga), is all over her. So my theory is that Karga is actually her boss (in which case… how did he get here?) or they’re wizard of ozing it, and she’s in a coma
I don't think that's an interesting subplot, I think that was overwhelmingly clear right from the start? They don't even do anything with it because it's also clearly insinuated that Liliana is her old coworker that basically got her killed and that's not a plotpoint either
