why it seems like Ishid has been in love with Yunifer since way before they hooked up, and he hates Rael for taking Yunifer's attention away. Then how do Ishid and Rael end up together in the "original story", and why is Yunifer killed in that story even though they like her that much? Timeline wise, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
i can’t remember exactly but a while back i read that rael and ishid entered a contract marriage of some sort, to help each other, but i can’t remember if this is acc tru or not
I think the main reason why he likes Yunifer so much is because of her behavior in the Academy. From what I remember, she transmigrated early on and acted different from the original character, thus catching his eye, thus causing the change in story and a change in the degree that Ishid is obsessed with Yunifer!!!!
I've been really confused about that as well, so the only conclusion i've managed to come to is that it's because her whole personality changed when she changed bodies and went about her high school life avoiding both the "protagonists" from the original story... Because it does say that she wakes up in her body on the first day of high school so I just feel like by her going about her life in high school as herself (an entirely different person from the original evil lady) he fell in love with her... for instance the scene they keep showing of him looking out at her from a window whilst she's laughing with friends and Rael's in the background wanting to butt in - this wouldn't have happened at all because in the original story Yunifer and Rael were friends... anyway this is just what i think from what's shown because it might be for a completely different reason that gets explained later...
I think original junifer was pestering/being a btch to rael in/out the academy and that is why ishid was interested in rael, but this junnifer was a real nice person in the academy with rael looking as if she's a hanger-on? Not quite sure.
