I’m so confused as to why the first prince isn’t crown prince
His power was destruction, which meant that he attracted miasma, the evil energy of the world. We saw when Stella first arrived that he was surrounded by the stuff. People literally got sick cos of it. Someone surrounded by miasma couldn't be king. He is only able to wander around like he is now due to Stella's purification
When it comes down to it I do feel for cliff, are his actions excusable?? No not really but he was literally created to act like that. The author had some deranged thinking that a male lead should only live and act for the female lead, killeon only had the opportunity to live as he pleased because he was the “second male lead” and was created differently from cliff, at the end of the day cliff is a victim too and I feel like he should’ve had the opportunity to derail from what his fate was and learn to live for himself without his manipulated mindset
so you’re telling me at the beginning of this her goal was to be free from the mansion by helping him escape in the way he was meant to by clearing the floors the right way, but since this stupid bitch had to make a pact with a talking door she left the mansion the wrong way and is basically hurdling towards the “bad ending” of the game. Not only did everything they do together now mean nothing as her goal completely took a 360 but she’s leaving behind her “family” basically to be free from a cycle she more than likely could’ve broke in another way just to create endless suffering for her and the ml. yeahhhh what great story telling is going on here. kinda stupid asf ngl I’m probably gonna drop this and come back when it finishes to see if it’s even worth the read anymore ಠ_ŕ˛
He was obviously going to have a sob story and a reason as to why he grew up to be the way he does, it doesn’t excuse his actions but it gives a reason to them, yes he continued the cycle and very obviously hasn’t broken free from the cycle of abuse, this story very obviously isn’t about fluffy love or cute stories of how the main characters get together, it’s how people deal with their traumas and what it can turn into, the only difference is how people start to recognize their reactions and grow from it. comparing him and Dan to eachother is a mistake I’m seeing a lot of people make and Dan is a grown ass man who can make decisions on his own (he obviously has) the whole point of the story is to show how jaekyung was “jinxed” and how he cures himself of it, he was cursed to be his fathers son and inherit everything rotten from his father even if it never presented in the same way, I’m sure with how the story is progressing he’s going to grow as a person and are people entitled to forgive him? No. But is it fair to disregard someone’s trauma and past experiences because of their present actions? Absolutely not. It’s an unfair bias humanity has towards people, can you outgrow someone, yes absolutely but it’s never right to disregard what other people have been through especially when it comes to things that happen so often in real life

I love woori also everyone saying he’s weird, honestly he hasn’t acted as bad as Taehun, I feel like everyone’s forgetting how he treated woojin earlier simply because they don’t like woori. Don’t get me wrong I know he’s not gonna end up with woori but to pretend like he’s the bad choice because you don’t want him to end up with him is crazy
I know! This is when all the haters come crawling out of the woodwork. We see you haters and ship-jumpers, we see you...
