They're benign and not nearly as stressful as in most other stories. Plus, for someone as blunt and straight laced as the male lead, I think it's good for him to navigate his way through feelings.

I thought a "White Lotus" was a person who's innocent and pure person and a "Black Lotus"/ "Green tea bitch" was someone who poses as a white lotus but they really aren't???
Green tea bitch and white lotus are mostly the same in meaning.
Originally, green tea bitch was meant for gold diggers who wanted to get to higher places by sexual means but still wanted to appear innocent and "pure" but its mostly used now as someone who is vicious inside while looking nice and harmless on the outside.
While white lotus, originally, was meant for the "Mary Sue" type of female protagonist but very quickly got turned into a sarcastic expression to refer to those typical antagonists who appeared nice on the outside but, you know, bad on the inside.
As for black lotus...I've only ever heard it once, but it was only used to mark the difference between the "protagonist" personality.
He was a white lotus when young(it's said unsarcastically) but became a black lotus later on.
Other than that, I've never heard of it.

First of all, Prince Jie only beat the crap out of Zhang Ping cuz if he didn't, the other princes and and the emperor would have had Zhang Ping killed for speaking the way he did to the emperor. Secondly, I'm guessing the comments calling Jie a sadistic seme are people who have read the raws and know what happens later in the story, so maybe he becomes a sadistic seme later? I haven't read the raws so I don't know for sure ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I'm sorry to say but you need to change your genre. There are so many OP Mc in Chinese manga. Some times it feels like they are mass produced. But story is diff so still enjoyable ヾ(☆▽☆)

Manhua are not that good even if corresponding novel are great.
In manga point of view "cheating men must die" is superb! I love its art and pacing. But if it was novel I'd be average coz transmigration with system genre have been ravaged tbh.
But still better than those weak ass female MC manhwa. Those are nightmares
