Why are y'all complaining....tearing is nothing if not straightforward and forceful. When she puts her mind to something, she *will* achieve it.
We know this about her, and thats why we love her. Why are you complaining now that she's following the plan she basically set out to do on day one?
Like sorry you aren't getting your rocket fast happily ever after with your favorite boy but like. Hating on her and saying it's "not like her" WHEN SHE SET TO DO THIS SINCE BASICALLY EPISODE ONE is wilde

LITERALLY. Like they're acting like taerin is a confused little girl who's going back to her abusive boyfriend after she promised shed move on like....ARE WE READING THE SAME STORY, this is REVENGE.
And she's emotionally smart but that doesn't mean she can read fucking Minds. She doesn't know the ml likes her. And even if she did, what does that have to do with her? A deal is a deal

Also like, media literacy is a thing too! While it hasn't been said outright, and I know originally their plan was to get their exs back...lowkey taerin has too much self respect to actually take him back, especially with how she's been feeling about him in the recent chapters.
like she absolutely hates him even more now that he's actively pursing her even though he's still with the other girl, like boy you cheated in me and it wasn't even worth it?!?
Tbh I dint think she ever actually intended to break them up to get him back...she just wanted to break them up, and I'm 100% backing her.

No, she suspected that he liked her, but when she confronted him about it he denied it very vehemently so she believed him.
It's normal to believe your friends.
Sometimes you get the inkling someone likes you, but then it turns out false. Or if you're as straightforwards as her, you ask them just to sound them out and that way know how to act appropriately. Ik tons of people who ask others outright when they think someone likes them, and then rejects them/accepts them before the other has the courage to confess. If they say you're wrong tho, then you just move on with your life.
You did all you could, if they decide to not be honest thats on them

Tbh it could be a translation error or I'm misremembering. Like "let's get back at them" is super similar to "let's get them back"
Although in one of the recent chapter taerin tells the guy she's glad when she hears about him getting close to his ex again because that was the point of their plan, so idk

The artist is drawing heeseo better so what the sucks up with the lawyer???
Like he used to look like a man.
Now he looks like a skinny Twink with big sparkly eyes and a back that's gonna get scoliosis from having it constantly arched like that.
Also, what was that last scene where he is crawling away but gets dragged back? Are we just supposed to imagine it's heeseo fucking him in the doorway, pulling out, and then grabbing his feet to drag him back into the room? The fuck?

LMFAO when the comments were full of people shitting on sasya I was defending him.
Now the comments are full of Karel hate and I'm defending him instead.
Idk maybe I'm just a contrarían but for me, both of the characters suck so there's no point hating on one another cause none of them deserve better idk

Am I the only one who feels this story is kinda racist...
Like first off, we already know how Koreans are. East Asians as a whole actually, and I'm an ea myself.
No matter how good the story is, more often than not there will be an instance of pretty blatant racism/classism/sexism that will make me take a deep breath and count to ten before I brush it off and keep reading.
But in this case it feels especially nasty because the racism is sexual and more lustful.
Just. Of course the the side peace who's getting her brains blown buy the father while m watches is poc coded(but not ea). Brown dark curly hair, brown eyes, BIG pouty lips(but too big to be "beautiful and dignified), dark skin(or what is just not pasty dead paper white but you know, that's dark enough for them) and a curvy body.
Shes presented as a whore who has nothing but sex on her mind, what is basically a mindless sex toy a a backdrop to the father's and MC's story.
I want to highlight that while this *is* smut, there are ways to write smut more gracefully than others.
And we know that the author is perfectly capable of this in the way they handle MC's scenes.
Oh no, she's the perfect white protagonist to project onto(yes ik the author is Korean). She's pale, with straight shiny hair and and smart eyes. Her lips are pouty and pink, but not so much they turn grotesque or too much. Yes she has curves, but they're not so big they get in the way or ever turn obscene. Look! She's as skinny as a twig!
"I prefer my body anyways.." she says, as if she weren't the fucking beauty standard?? Like what was the author trying to say with this??? My country isn't as strict with our beauty standards but for example society still doesn't like fat bodies. I'd never go out of my way to compliment my own body and say I still like it more when compared to a body that is actively ostracized like????
I'm still reading it and I am kind enjoying it but really, did they really have the need to do that?
I feel like a lot of people are gonna tell me I'm reading too much into it lol but I really see it

I think you're not thinking from the main lead's perspective, because she compared her body to other girl due to her husband's comment. He said she wasn't his type, and fucked another woman without blinking an eye. I'd also feel conscious of my body after that. There was never any indication of certain beauty standards of the story from the beginning. Opposed to your comment, I actually enjoyed how there were women with different type of bodies and appearances since the beginning because smut rarely includes bodies like ours and deems it desirable. She was hot as hell, all the girls are. Idk, it's just my interpretation, well see what other chapteslrs will bring.

The things is that stories aren't reality. It isn't something that just happened. When things are shown here, it's always an active choice by the author's side.
You have to pay attention to it and listen.
Also, mc was never self conscious. She always knows her body is desirable. It's not presented as "my body is good too uwu

Tbh like yeah the heroine sucks but? I wish so much of the hate she got wasn't for classcist bullshit reasons.
Like you can really tell this story is Korean in a way because of how they view certain matters.
Yeah she sucks but her being born out of a crime isn't her cross to bare.
Then there are things where they criticism her for not knowing the proper etiquette. Like, sorry she didn't grow up with a silver spoon? What do you want her to do about that?
She is pretty horrible and yeah I want to see her get ousted but I wish the reasons weren't such bullshit so I could hate her in peace. Instead I'm reminded of how classcist, heteronormative monolith society is, especially Korea's.
Just idk. Ew? Author wants to talk about being classless but they're the ones making a girl out to be disgusting cause she was born out of rape(they aren't outright saying it but it's obvious that's the intended effect...and just look at the comments)
(Obv still hate her tho lol)

She would be treated like that even if the story wasn’t Korean, illegitimate children with no manners and achievements generally don’t get treated well among influential families. The fact that her mother is a rapist wasn’t revealed to the public, so idk why you brought that up. The family have the right to hate Seori, since her mother raped the father, and Seori wants nothing but horrible to them. People in the comments generally hate Seori because she’s malicious to everybody, she uses others for her own gain, she doesn’t show any respect to the people around her

Yeah you'll never see me defending her in general cause she sucks ass.
And yeah high society in general is like that, but it's especially poignant in Korea. If you've talked to Koreans, the bullying there is no joke. Especially for dumb reasons like just for having divorced parents or a single parent. Just, things that are out of the control of the person who they're targeted to.
I really really hate it.
Also, where did you see me ask why people hate her? I don't even know her name, she's bland and just as classcist as the rest. I think I was pretty clear I did not like her character, and that I wanted her gone(her biggest crime personally is stupidity tho that really riles me up)
I'm just saying a lot of the points the manhwa is using to hate on her is literally "oh, she's a bastard child. She doesn't belong here" instead of the very real criticizable things she's done.
And I'm mentioning her mother because c'mon. It's obvious it's going to get revealed to the public and that it's going to be the final nail in the coffin to her character. Not just high society, but normal Korean society is going to get wind of it due to that reporter and they're going to destroy her.
Which I'd agree with, if it weren't for it being due to something out of her control. There are real children of rape alive today, who deserve just as much respect as the next person. A parents crime does not define you. Imagine them reading this?

The general public in the story doesn’t hate Han Seori yet though, they are prejudiced because she’s not a legitimate child, but it happens literally everywhere. It was revealed that she’s arrogant and doesn’t treat service staff well, and she didn’t even get that much hate for it. For the stupid decisions and unnecessary malicious actions she suffers little consequences in the story. Also I didn’t hear about her being a child of rape getting exposed, I think it may never happen. I'm just repeating myself here, but it doesn’t matter it’s not her fault. The father shouldn’t have to see her, I also think the best choice would be to give her money and tell her to never show up in front of his eyes again.
Yk the other day I found merch of this series in the mall which I'd kinda left behind and it brought memories like yooo ik these dudes
