Being responsible for taking care of his own family is not a weakness. But it's okay, everyone has their own opinions. For me, the MC is not weak at all. He stands up for himself almost every time and knows what he wants and what to do. Yes, his father is an asshole, but he has a brother and grandmother who aren’t making his life miserable. That’s why he still does his best to take care of his family. But, again this is just my personal opinion :)
