But WOW the uke tried to defend himself (successfully too!), that knife was a surprise.
I'm not Furuya's biggest fan nor supporter but in this tournament I'm actually worried for him as a player. Since they got back he's been lacklustre- his title of 'unstoppable' can seem like a joke now.
Now that he's finally aware of his condition (well i hope considering how Miyuki put it in the prev chapter) I feel like he's gradually self-destructing. Its like that moment you're aware of your errors the more glaring they are and the more self-conscious you'll be about your actions.
Though I know that we'll get that badass Sawamura moment in the near future but Furuya is also an important pitcher to the team. I don't know how he's gonna get over this... slump. He's pretty much in the same position as Sawamura when he had yips- kind of.
I see this development of his as the road block of his success as a pitcher, I've said this before but brute strength can only take him so far and it seems that we're seeing that now. I'm not well versed in baseball ball so I don't know how he's gonna develop as a player from now on. He already has an extremely fast ball and a couple breaking balls- so how is he gonna get better? build his pitching speed (its been mentioned that increasing a player's pitching speed is one of the hardest thing to do)? Learn more breaking balls? Or focus more on perfecting his current pitches?
The only good thing in this chapter (imo) was Toujou's and Haruicchi's saves and pretty much how this was a Miyuki centric chapter.

Sawamura probably only appear in like one or two panels lmao but this chapter is actually quite interesting?? like we get to know what other pitchers/players think about how Furuya is pitching now (and we get to see Mei reflecting on how he used to pitch back then in fall tournament!!)
considering Furuya's pitch count is quite high, I think Kataoka will switched him out soon... but if he wants Furuya to grow as the ace of the team, he should let him play to find a way to fix that breaking ball. I want to believe in Furuya since he's also working hard as ace of the team so I hope Kataoka let him play till he really really crumbled *sigh*
(but I can't deny the urge to see Sawamura takes the mound and save Furuya's ass lmao) (Sawamura always saves the day)
I did like reading the insight of the other pitchers in this chapter especially Mei's. I love his character development <3 he's matured this season and it makes me happy for him. I glad that he's not as immature nor hotheaded as before.
So seeing Mei's development makes me excited for the finals <3
I hope that Furuya will get over this slump soon, Seido will need his firepower in the finals.
I wonder if the Coatch will switch in Nori instead of Sawamura. I want Nori to shine too :D
I also want to see Sawamura pitch soon, It's always enjoyable to read when he's on the mound.
