I’m guessing that you’re talking about the insanity defense, which Sangwoo IS eligible to plea and you’re right about his sentence being a mental hospital. BUT the insanity plea requires a lot of evaluation and can’t just be seen through violent behavior. Even if he does qualify for the insanity defense, it’ll be hard to defend him because of the amount of people he killed.
Also, Sangwoo didn’t just mistreat Bum. He disabled him by breaking his ankles, threatened and used a knife at him, pressured Bum into killing one of those girls because he KNEW that Bum was obsessed. He knew what he was doing.
