they are not related by blood.. but she is legally adopted by the duke (father).. If we based it on our belief/law this era, it will still be considered as incest since they are legally siblings.. however if we view it in their era, even royalties let their children marry their own flesh and blood to preserve the royal lineage..
just because it doesn't fit well with how we feel or how it is view in our era now, doesn't mean we have to invalidate it.. since it really become part of the past culture.. I am not saying it is right, or it is ok.. personally i am really against it in real life.. however no matter how much we despite it we cannot change the past.. and it's actually legal before..
And now, as to the reason why I had to explain it in our perspective now.. it is because, as someone who is from the 21st century, we are all educated and this topic is not also new to us.. we aren't ignorant of our past, our culture and the beliefs.. so I assume everyone should be open-minded when reading this type of stories.. though, not all but a lot of classic romance books that we read in school also tackles this kind of relationship..
I don't understand the hate.. this is all about preferential and how you perceive the story.. you see, you read about murder cases/ thriller/ action movies but no one would ever complain about hating the movie because killing is a crime.. a reader should know how to filter the information that they gain from reading.. you can disregard anything that doesn't fit your preferences or belief.. or you can also absorb and learn from it..
and lastly, if you doesn't really like it, no one is forcing you to read it anyways.. you can always drop it and move on to something you preferred.. just stop criticizing the author or the readers that enjoys it.. after all, it's called fantasy for a reason..

it gets annoying sometimes, reading comments full of hatreds.. can't we appreciate first before we complain? I dont really consider my self as an avid reader, but even I knew that I should welcome all possibilities of reading something I cannot agree with, but even though, I still dont show hate or aggressiveness to the author unless it was written fully to criticize something or hurt someone..

-the crown prince know from the start that Estella is a girl.
-The father of estella once work under the kings order to protect the crown prince from possible assassination before his coronation, that is how the prince and raskhan the father knew each other. they become close and the father told the crown prince about her "estella" his only daughter who is a sword master like him, and the father knew that as a girl Estella cannot fully utilize her skills, and incase something were to happen to him during missions, without any relatives left to take care of her, the father is very worried. so the only way to protect her and for her to use her swordsmanship after he was gone, is to register a fake name estein as a male twin of estella. that is he predicted that estella will pretend to be male to survive.
-(estella's mother is a commoner, and the arthur family has long lost their nobility. it was said that commoners doesn't really care of registering their children, because the fatality rate is very high.. since commoner are poor and not many children survive and grow as an adult. so mostly commoner parents only register their children's name when they are older, like teenager or after past debutante age/marriageable age. so it was the same with estella, she was only registered later when she was a stronger swordmaster by his father. that's when he also included a fake name for her to use in the future incase.)
-the first encounter of the prince and estella in the forest where she saw the prince killing his fiance, it was then the prince recognise estella as an Arthur..
-at first he didn't know it was her. so he wanted to kill her because she witnessed the prince killing his fiance.. he doesn't want anyone to find out the it was him who killed the fiance because if others knew, he will needed to publicize that inasi the "fiance" was a witch.. The family of Inasi are loyal to the prince so he doesn't want to ruin their reputation.. so he wanted to kill her silently and make it look like that the fiance was assassinated by the empress. but then estella arrived and witnessed the crime so the prince who didn't recognize her at first, wanted to kill her to shut her mouth.. but when she used the arthur swordsmanship skills, he then recognize estella as raskhan daughter. because only an arthur can use an arthur swordsmanship, and at the same time the prince become very interested in her because t the same time she uses the arthur swordsmanship on him, their eyes met and he fell for her blue eyes that sparkles and full of determination. so yes, the prince knew she was a girl and fell for her first..he also knew that raskhan planned and registered a twin boys name, so her daughter can use it incase.
-the empress is a witch, she is called a cannabis.. or a mother seed.. means she is a head like figure for witches and a very powerful at that. It's very rare for witches to be pregnant but it's not impossible.. so when a witch gets pregnant they can only have a daughter, because only them can inherit the blood and power of witches. all witches has a seed in them the moment they were born, this seed will fully mature the same time with the host.. when the witch seed fully blooms/matured from inside the body that's the time that a person is considered a full pledge witch. symptoms can be observe when one is transforming into a witch, one is losing appetite and being infertile. like I said it is very rare for witches to get pregnant because one of the side effects of being a witch is infertility but not all losses their ability to become fertile, like for example the empress who has 4 childrens. and all her children also have the seed of witch inside them. this is a given since the mother is a witch.
-unfortunately, estella is also a witch but she didn't know.. her mother who was literally only her father knew of her mother is actually a witch. so when Estella was born she automatically has a witch seed inside of her growing.
-when she knew of this, she planned to leave the prince and die alone. but the prince didn't let her go. she asked the prince to kill her the moment she show symptoms of the witch seeds maturity in her.. meaning losing appetite and the other symptoms.
-at coronation day estella was kidnapped and during that time the seed matured and she became a witch.. but the prince saved using his power. estella also acquired the holy sword that only empresses can wield (so yes its a proof that her witch nature was cured by the prince) (because holy items cannot be used by witches) and killed the cannabis.
- oh and tezon tonton will become her personal knight and that made the prince very jealous. tezon doesn't really know that estein and estella are one. only after when she confessed to him that she is a girl, but still tezon still calls her estein. and in the future he didn't marry anyone.
- and yes the prince and estella married and after 3 months of their married life she got pregnant.
this is not accurate, it's hard to explain in details, since the translation itself is not good. i didn't read all the chapters of the novel only the available chapters and Spoilers that are translated using an app. and app translation is bad that's why it is not accurate but the main idea is all there..

theory: in the prologue, there's a boy with red orange hair that is similar to the duke and kings hair color, the narration is about a magician and the lamp.. it seems like it doesn't have any connections to the story itself, I mean i doubt that this plot involves magic and super powers.. but why was it in the prologue?
ok so here's my theory, the prologue is actually showing the dream come true of Charlotte.. The children's book that Charlotte wrote.. remember her dream is become a children's book writer, and she specifically said she want the story to have magic and princesses and dragons (fantasy).. In the prologue the ML has a red orange hair which like I said similar to the duke and the king.. but I think the main character Charlotte wrote for ger book is modelled after the duke.. yes, i think it's the duke.. because..

.
spoilee:
the ML is the duke..

I won't be surprised if dion or jeremy ends up confessing love for roxana. after all, the whole household is full of psychopaths and twisted to the core.. incest is not unlikely for them to happen..
I love each every characters, they doesn't deviate from their character's roles. They really are all topnotch villains and villainess.. even the younger siblings, truly apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Roxana and cassis should end up together!
for those are still confused with the duke and king.. it's actually easy to tell them apart.. aside from the hair styles.. you look at the color of their eyes.. the duke has green eyes, while the king has the golden eyes..
