Didn't think I'd gain a liking for Alek but he's just so enchanting wtf.
It probably won't happen but I would just love a side story between dahm and Mr. Kim like the author had originally planned pls I really love both of them so when I found out they were originally going to be a side couple but instead remained as side characters I was . Or at least just more frequent appearances cause their personalities are just so funny.
Anyway glad I caught up , Interested to see how things play out.
I came here after watching the movie so I could understand a bit more (it's on Netflix JP), thinking that it'd be better than the live action but no lol. I think I prefer the movie, though ultimately both are pretty bad imo.
I will admit that a lot of scenes were done nicely (like the backstories and such) but it's the plot that really just makes me go ..,huh.. . Especially in the way it's originally portrayed in the manga like bruh I get that he wants to live now thanks to the guy saving him and making him realize it but to fall in love after all that ? Tbh I thought it was the jerk bf that was going to be the one to do some messed up stuff in the end (even more messed up than letting his friend have sex w the mc). Definitely did not expect the turn the story took.
Btw , there are a few pages missing from the beginning but you can see them on the Spanish scans (basically just foreshadowing the end). I'll leave the link in the replies. I also recommend reading the Spanish ver. if you can bc the translations are more accurate. I noticed that in the English ver. Some parts just sound weird so I'm assuming someone just translated the Spanish trans. to English via Google translate .

I've read other manga where one cooks for the other and I really liked that idea so I thought this one would also be cute too but uhhhh. :// It's very uncomfortable seeing Seijiro treat the kid kindly while having other intentions. Grooming basically.
Btw I'm seeing a lot of "Grow up it's yaoi get used to it" type comments and as a BL for many years now it's not an issue of getting "used to it", this isn't something people should get used to.
Don't compare to Harada because her works are clearly defined as tragedies and they're main point IS to be sick and twisted. It doesn't normalize anything, unlike this one trying to pass it off as just a normal guy with a crush teehee wow so romantic .
But whatever, enjoy what you enjoy just understand that these kinds of behaviors in real life aren't cute at all and be aware of the potential harm these kind of stories can cause.

my bad lol. There was a time gap between reading the first 2 chapters and the latest so I guess I either missed that or forgot. Doesn't help that Seijiro always refers to him as kid so I thought he was a highschooler or something. Oops on my part then :0 where does it mention his age though? Seijiro says there's a 12 year gap so does that mean he's 32 then ?

I'm pretty sure the movie came before the manhwa though. They both got out in 2012, but a movie take a few years to create, they started filming in November 2011 but the writing, casting and everything must have started earlier.
But the author of this manhwa was one of the two writers of the movie. So chances are he draw the manhwa in parallel.

Oh wow! The art style is very pretty. Reminds me of Ogeretsu Tanaka's somewhat, though they are still very different of course.
The story seems good so far, can't wait to see how it ends :).
