I'm just glad i'm not the only one who's disgusted about this. How can you continue to yearn for the love of someone who tried to kill your baby?! Plus, the way he spoke felt as if he was going to confine her and stuff. Let's not even talk about the girl being miserable because she married the wrong man, but because of her obsession decides to kill off his mistresses, willingly take poison and trap him into sleeping with her so she can have his baby. Like what was she expecting? A warm welcome? At this point, I just feel bad for the unborn baby.
Well, they both are twisted and made the other versions of themselves miserable so I guess its good they got to switch, at least I hope they switched. Since the cruel guy (since he wanted to kill the child) hated the empress he would probably be happier in a world shes dead but on the other hand I guess he would be able to love the other version of her that wasnt a psycho but just a normal woman who didnt want to be controlled and have a choice. The normal versions of them dont get a happy ending but the twisted ones will probably be happy together, I guess the point of this story will be that the evil ones get happiness because theyre willing to do anything to keep each other while the normal ones follow reason and would've split if they felt like it.
I'm brainwashing myself that the point of the story is that not even The Powers That Be like a hypocrite abortion-forcing incompetent emperor ("incompetent" bc he abused the crown's authority by giving titles and privileges to his merit-less bed partners... at least choose mistresses with brains and/or political power, you douche! Spoilers assured us he was incompetent in *other* ways, too...) As for the 1st world's suidical empress, my brainwashing's decided she'll get her own happy ending to: she's these two's unborn baby! (so... who wants to join me in self-delusion land?)

I found her sus even before ch 19. After all, what kind of childhood friend will let their friend self-destruct and not do anything. The fact that the og empress was criticised for her behaviour and she didn't try to stop her at the risk of breaking their friendship. Now ch 19 confirmed my suspicions because in no way her expression was a guilty one. And even if i'm wrong, i don't want her close to our fl. Better a powerful enemy than a useless ally. Anastasia's life was in danger because of her.
