Maybe because he want to have a real conversation and trying with his family, if I remember well there are living in America. If I were the author I would make Aoi break up with him. Not because she don't love him but because when someone going away for a long time (for him 3 to 4 years) you need to wait but you want to be together and it's hurting so it's can make some discord. the long distance relationship can work for some people but they are to young for that for me.

As much as they seemed to get along, what was really needed was a discussion between the two of them on how to handle the future so they can be together. One partner silently planning to do what ever the heck they think is best for the both of them, is not acceptable! If it were me, I'd smack him upside the back of his head, then suggest that we go together.

I'm pretty sure that shusei has a lot of opportunities in America and that he wants to persue them to better himself for aoi. He wants a family with her and he feels he isn't good enough as he is.

And he's making her feel just like he did, when his family started leaving him alone. Isn't that nice of him.

If he goes to America he gets trained by his uncle and inherits his uncle's business which means money and stability so he can provide for Aoi and a family.

I mean I feel like that's why he is truly discussing it with her...the fact that he wants to build a stable family with her...I'm glad he thought it through seriously before making the decision. I would be pissed if he just said he wants to go without telling her what he wants to work on for their relationship.

I kind of wish she goes with him though. Or he stays. There's only three chapters left and I'm pulling my hair out wanting to know lol
