The dark-haired prostitute guy (ryohei) was a classmate of the narrator (shin) who also had a classmate (Yui, the sly-eyed lover of prostitute boy). Apparently, Shin sensed he was gay due to his attraction (like his friend's) to Ryohei. And Ryohei seems to be hooking due to being forced in some way by Yui (the boyfriend). So, Shin "buys" sex from Ryohei (whom he loves) and worried that he's being forced. We see it's true at the end when Ryohei breaks down crying and says "Save me." So, basically, he's in an abusive relationship wthere Yui gets him to hook for him. Probably a combo of control and money issue. Yui said "I'm gonna make him mine," and he sounded controlling. So, yeah.

I don't think it was double standards but genuine concern. He knows first hand that such a relationship is hard to maintain. And also Mineyuki and Ayami are relatively new to the industry when compared to the manager and his lover, so such an scandal would inflict more damage to them than to a established professional

I feel like one of the gods or even ran or usu made sure that the crane would show up with the newest reincarnation so ono would know for sure that it was hisa.
