i dunno if i can go into this manhwa without seeing ableist comments on the ml’s behaviour in the earlier chapters… yeah no shit he’s gonna act that way, he was blinded and scared. i used to take care of my elderly grandmother who was also slowly losing her vision and mind. she would curse at my family and throw things, refuse to get out of bed and let us wipe her sweat off, but i know she was suffering and extremely scared all the time. she would cry herself to sleep every night until she fully forgot who we were. there were moments of clarity where we could hold normal conversations with her and she would apologize sometimes. it’s not her fault for becoming blind or her fault for slowly losing her mind to age and dementia. i’m only at chapter 11 and seeing him slowly improve is great but also im already seeing ableist ass comments ( ̄へ ̄)road to recovery isn’t linear, and clearly he was at his lowest until paula appeared.
love how unreliable narrator cesare is deluded into thinking ruby actually liked him when she was just stroking his ego enough to ensure she survives. when she couldn’t take the amount of proposals and divorces she was getting, she made the mistake of lashing out and then cesare became the man he hated most, their father…

so how do eros’ arrows work? does it amplify her hurt and negative feelings, randomly place hatred in her heart, or manipulate her into twisting her feelings into hatred? maybe it’s a combination of all of the above ?? but also… one of them is way less aware of it than the other… [if] or [when] the arrow’s effects wear off, will their feelings stay? go away? and maybe the tree ending is far from, since the author has already chosen to make daphne fall in love first !! idk !!!
