What's going on: we're seeing what happened before Ao Gu's younger bro, Ao Yue, died and was magically resurrected as a baby who would then be renamed AoAo. What happened before that is that there was this demon thing that threatened the world and this magical tablet that sees everyone's destiny said that the only way to save the world was to sacrifice Ao Yue in order to get rid of the demonic thing, the same Ao Yue who was Ao Gu's younger brother and who was still a baby back then. So they tried to force Ao Gu and Ao Yue's father, the dragon king, to sacrifice Ao Yue in order to save the world, but the king only did it halfway: he DID seal the demon inside Ao Yue, but then he broke the tablet and even had old Jin take baby Ao Yue away from the palace and out of the sky realm, in order to go and hide themselves in Earth, among humans...
In order to hide Ao Yue from the people who wanted to finish him off (so as to permanently get rid of the dangerous demonic thing that had just been sealed inside him), Old Jin renamed him Xuan Yue and his memories were erased, but with time his older bro Ao Gu also grew up and came to find Ao Yue/Xuan Yue, even if he knew he couldn't go to meet him directly and reveal himself as his brother, because that would probably alert the people that still wanted Ao Yue dead. By that time, though, Ao/Xuan Yue had already met Xiao Jifeng, the demon exterminator guy who is Ryan's past self (in a similar way to how Ao/Xuan Yue is AoAo's past self) and who would get obsessed with Ao/Xuan Yue and imprison him, forcing Ao Yue to kill himself by destrying his own soul (which is why he Ao Yue would only be able to revived though a magic ritual as a newborn baby, rather than reincarnated).

I've reread this for like 10282919018th times, while reading this i always looking forward to the next chapter its like i forgot the story (the truth is i remember it 100%) the feelings still got meee goshhh this manga is just masterpiece huhuh love it smuch and always want more lol (even though its kinda impossible) and i loveee the pace(?) it's not to fast and not too slow it's just right
