I hope she realised the novel is irrelevant soon, it's gets on my nerves when they assume their actions don't change anything

The novel isn't irrelevant and she knows her actions changes things. I 100% agree I hate when characters think the novels are written in stone, but I see this one a little different. Remember the novel this one is based off of got discontinued fairly early in its run. She thinks it's like an otome novel and is looking at various male characters as capture targets. She isn't even aware who she thinks Chloe is supposed to end up with. She just wants to stay with "her" and help her find happiness. She's already aware there's many things going on the novel didn't have time to reveal like everything with Chloe and black magic. All she really knows is Chloe is supposed to start her come back in high society soon. So from the FL prospective I don't think it's unreasonable she hasn't thought this is a yuri or gender bender novel so why would she think she's changed things in a major way other than helping Chloe? From her perspective nothing has deviated from the novel yet. The stories that annoy the crap out of me are the ones where it has blatantly deviated, but they still think person A and B will get together like it is written in stone. I just don't think FL has seen anything that really deviates from what she knows and as far as she's aware she's not altering anyone's relationships so why would she think she's changed anything?

Ofc nothing has deviated because the novel hasn't actually started. But she's assuming her friendship with chloe has no impact to the story which is a grave mistake. It's clear that chloe trusts her, but she decidesd to ignore that and assume she would dispose of her bc she touched one of the MLs. The story may not be completely irrelevant but she's acting as nothing has changed. In the novel chloe was an abused child with NO friends, thus making her character more cold and distrustful which isn't the case. I just want her to acknowledge that the novel isn't particularly useful as it was never completed, alongside the fact chloe herself admitted to a change of plans (not attending a coming od age and leaving the house at 18, with her)

The novel covers Chloe's childhood though it's stated it is glossed over so the novel has started though the main events don't seem to have happened. Also, FL isn't ignorant of her impact the entire reason she wanted to be with Chloe in the first place was to lesson her sadness. It's just she assumes Chloe is a girl and will get together with a guy (she doesn't know who) she's pretty much already stated her goal is to be by her side and support Chloe until that happens. She doesn't really know the story so there's not much for her to change. Chloe revealing she's going to leave with her is the first unexpected deviation from what she knows of the plot. We haven't seen FL's response yet to see if she's really ignorant or not. Up until now she hasn't jumped to any conclusions or ignored anything that would be obvious to the average person. Now depending on how she reacts to Chloe's reveal just now that can change, but I think this is different from like a villainous novel or something where the FL is going through all these hoops to get ready for a bad ending when anyone with a brain can look at the situation and realize if you just don't bully/try to kill the stated FL you will be fine. That or the ML is all over you, but you think you won't be able to get together for some bs reason when you are freaking engaged. Those bug the crap out of me. I think the jury is still out on this one though
For those who read the novel, does the hourglass take her lifespan off, or is it giving her borrowed time, as in she'll inky live up to the age she died at previously?
From what I remember it doesn't effect her lifespan. For those that have abilities getting tired afterward is normal. Asher mentioned that a couple chapters back. The MC is more limited in her use of her ability and gets tired quicker then Asher does because she is more "removed from the source" of the ability then he is. This will be explained later in the story once she tells Asher about her ability.
Oh okay thank you. But why did she grow so quickly then? Or is it unrelated?
She's already knows how to act "grown up" from her previous life so she can give off the right aura even though she's only mid-teens.
