just to reinforce the previous early impressions posted by others, this is definitely worth at least trying out. normally, romcoms revolving around 2 utterly clueless characters can get really tedious, really fast, but this approach, in my opinion, really entertains and clarifies the parodic intent. I'll be following

I agree, It's a nice refresher from the normal. I hope it doesn't take the route of introducing a 3rd party that competes for either of the MC's. That is such an over used forced way of introducing drama and tension into the plot. However, even though this is a nice refresher I hope the story does not last for a 100 chapters if it's just going to be this. I could still see this getting old after a while.

not only is the art quality and character designs really great, but the attention to detail with regards to the early 90's period of gaming and socio-economic subcultures is second to none (at least in the realm of manga). considering how bad love-triangle romcoms tend to be when it comes to bringing any real romantic developments that dont just mysteriously disappear in the subsequent chapter/episode, this borderline masterpiece has been a much needed relief from the pallid and pretentious series prevalent throughout the genre

the girl is apparently there as a symbol of himself. she's mute (meaning she can't speak), just like he's mute about his feelings and powers. to strengthen the symbol theory, i'm assuming he'll continue to vicariously explore his ESP through her, considering how she is a mirror reflection of what he is on the inside, giving him a guilt-free, responsibility-free relief

how did so many people manage to miss the point of this story? the romance was just a byproduct of the redemption/forgiveness theme between the 2 primary characters. the author's intention wasn't to detail another bumpy boy-girl relationship, the purpose was much more profound. personally i don't care about whether or not any intimate relationships were developed because every character ultimately found the path to healing through shoya's efforts, and with this open ending, we can assume that everything we selfishly wished would happen afterwards, did happen.

I agree! I was hoping for maybe a bit more romance (because I'm a hopeless romantic) but then I realized the story was a lot deeper than that, and dealt with the issues of trust, hate, bullying, past mistakes, and ultimately forgiveness and moving forward. I absolutely loved it and I wish it never ended, but I was so happy I read it. I feel a bit different now myself.
secretly hoping chiyo and hana die so we can see more mari tbh
Sorry dude, but Hana >>>>> Mari
I agree
