cant really rmember cuz it was so long ago but im pretty sure it was seen as something bad cuz jin said he liked suu better after he lost his memories and forgot how much of a jerk jin was
Jin was also knowingly letting Suu get 'eaten', which was resulting in him being healed and therefore losing memories.
Without Suu even knowing why he was deteriating, and Jin knowingly let him be a consumable pawn with that in mind.
Jin took Suu's memories away, that's really not something that can be argued about, it happened blatantly throughout the coarse of the reading. one obvious example was when Suu went to the library to steal that ancient book, then revealed to Jin that he knew he was the crown prince. Suu wasn't supposed to know that he was food for Saharah. hence, memory loss.

This manhua is so outstanding and underrated. The plot twist was so unpredictable and this ending is suitable for setting of the series. The mystery was revealed but the story didnt lose its mysterious atmosphere until the very end. Wish I could erase my memory and read it again
