The story is good but there are some things I find dislikable about how Touma is written tbh. And I don't mean him being pushy.
I honestly do not like Touma's portrayal. He seems too manipulative (which he is) and shows mainly the behavior of someone obsessed or even somewhat psycho rather than someone really in love and hence being possessive and pushy. I think it would have made him much more pleasant if he had some minor moments (even if just alone, not around Kengou) in which we saw him blushing, worrying, etc.. To show some more human emotions related to his unrequited love.
The moments we DID see him acting like he's really in love were way too little (talking about the entire first volume and the start of the 2nd) so it feels a bit shoehorned to even have those moments sometimes, which is really odd. Especially since they are VERY short and somewhat randomly placed. It just feels off.
The overall story and are are great tho. Could have done with a bit more detail or happenings maybe to get to know them better and see their dynamic together or with others, but it works well as is and is a good read. Simple but interesting, tho likely not everybody's cup of tea due to their relationship dynamic for so long and Touma's personality. Depends on taste I guess.
Would definitely say it's worth checking out do, so give it a try. :)

I agree, his love is more like an obsession and one-sided, and I want the characters to really reflect on what his love was, where it stemmed from, and why he kept stubbornly stalking Kengou. It was clearly unwanted and even though Kengou tried setting boundaries, he kept destroying them. This was kind of a deterrent for me because he was incredibly manipulative to get what he wants. It’s toxic, but it’s fiction so we can admire it without condoning it ig

Both stories are just adorable.
All characters are endearing and feel realistic. The pacing could be a tad slower and more detailed but it's a good read regardless because it works well with what it has.
Would honestly say this would be worth an anime (not long enough I suppose tho) because this would be such a sweet romance to see animated, I can totally picture the soft, watercolour type shots of them smiling and blushing, surrounded by flowers. Those scenes were just beautiful. Would totally have been worth a full page illustration with lots of details every now and then. <3
Definitely recommended. It's simple and quick but the stories and characters worth experiencing.

This is definitely a healthy relationship. Cute, adorable and without any use of tropes that drag the story.
Both characters have their likable and dislikable sides, the latter just minimally tho to show nobody is perfect.
The pacing of the story is decent i think, tho the only rushed moment was jumping from disinterest to 'I wanna get to know you too' for the MC. That was the only thing that seemed almost random.
A good read and overall good story I'd say. Definitely recommended.

Definitely a good read for anyone looking for something simple and more realistic. Could have used a bit more of that hook factor in some way, but still good as is.
I'm personally not a fan of the personality and reasoning of the love interest but all in all it's a decent story. Has it's negative aspects in very small ways here and there but it's still a good read.
Small Spoiler:
Love seeing actually abusive parents get reported. I think the mother should be send to prison as well tho, given she WAS around when the boy was abused. That bitch is just as guilty for not protecting her child. So fuck her. :D

I really like seeing two guys acting like guys, these two feel genuinely like two dudes falling in love and being awkward with each other, as one would in real life.
The story has enough detail but not too much when it comes to the surrounding aspects of the characters and nothing is over-/under-done from what I can see.
Lovely little read, definitely something I would recommend for someone looking for a realistic, simple story. :)

I demand every anti-bot upload be done like this, at least this is worth reading and not pissing me off when I see a false update in my inbox! XD
Absolutely love it, thank you~ <3

you guys are gullible af. the anti-bot upload was intended for mangago so you will never get a correct update in your inbox. talking about stealing when the whole shtick here is stealing. i wonder if the story’s author knows the translator is translating, distributing and asking to get paid for their work without permission.

brother. they uploaded the false chapter on the other site. the bot uploaded that false chapter to mangago. the translator then edited the false chapter on the other site to the correct one. so the mangago bot will never be able to “steal” the correct chapter 19. go check their comments on the site they mention if you still think i’m the wrong one.

That still has nothing to do with what I told you.
Whether it's a bot uploading the false chapter or a person doesn't matter, the new and actual chapter will be uploaded by a person and people WILL get an upload for it.
I'm confused as to how you don't know how this works. All while focusing on the wrong aspects of any of this situation (besides the fact you posted something entirely unconnected to my post to begin with).

and i’m confused by how you refuse to understand me despite how clearly i explained my sentences over and over again. the “so you will never get a correct update in your inbox” was the intention of the translator which you have thanked for making the anti-bot update “so funny”. ofc someone will update the correct chapter which might be me if it gets approved because i uploaded it out of spite. my “entirely unconnected” comment was about how you’re thanking someone that pulled a scheme to make fun of you for reading on mangago.

Nobody made fun of me or others. Nor did I 'fall for it'. I was well aware this was a false update because it said so. And I thanked them because the chapter was actually funny to read despite it being just a random translation. Are you not able to comprehend context when reading? Is that why you derailed the comment and went on a rant at random? XD

let’s see if you’ve been made fun of >_< kyaaa https://mangatoto.com/u/1768557-hervanda/comments

I don't care about generalized outside comments, that, again, has nothing to do with THIS conversation and the topic I originally started commenting about (which, incase you STILL haven't understood this, was simply a false chapter being made fun to read).
Not sure if you're just mentally not the brightest candle in the room or whatever, but maybe you should learn to read before posting replies.

“Badass translator! you should totally do that. make sure it's the most craziest shit you've ever seen pretty please that'll hopefully teach those bots and thiefs from stealing other people's stuff”
“ hahaha the bot actually uploaded that dummy chapter over there”
“ NO WAYYYY *laughing emoji* TOO BAD FOR THEM!”
“ it's funny reading comments there saying just use a placeholder instead of a dummy. Like... do they think it was a person who posted it, not a bot?”
i don’t know why mangago cuts if there are emojis but get some goggles and a brain before you ask people to read better with your tiktok level insults.

You keep trying to derail and ignore what I say. Not sure why, especially when you try to have a gotcha moment when posting exactly what I said: Nothing that had anything to do with my initial comment. Because I did not think this was a person-upload nor had my comment anything to do with thinking it was a real upload or anything else you are trying to talk about.
If you just want to shitpost, make your own thread next time, instead of randomly commenting on other people's posts and getting prissy when they call you out for acting dumb and not making any sense.

I could honestly see this being the plot of a grand movie.
The comic is a tiny bit clunky in certain ways, I think it could have been much better with more emotional impact along the way, detailed and emotional narration and such. But it's a great read as is. Simple, on point and lovely.
Good read, so definitely recommended.
Somewhat rough spoilers, because it's needed. Beware.
The overall story setup and art are great, Nekota has a talent for making situations good with expressions, cute and serious alike, very talented in making sensual smut scenes that are often creative in terms of angles and whatnot. The comedy, adorable scenes and sexual moments are done incredibly well and with great detail. It's definitely a joy to look at and read. Especially since the dialogue is well written as well. Which makes reading just for the story/romance interesting enough and worth it in and of itself.
But the one thing I think is the detriment of this story is the initial encounter/treatment before we get to the actual romance part of the story. It's incredibly bothersome how the MC is treated and his justifiable fear and hate is invalidated. To top it off, the typical nonsensical and straight up idiotic 'you have to be a doormat no matter what people do to you' ideaology of the asians being thrown into it all as well is making it really nasty tbh.
And it's odd, because I find myself agreeing with the openly homophobic MC more than any of the other characters. The gay characters were the ones needing more reprimanding than the MC most of the time. Yet the story pretends only he is at fault for anything. Sure, he calls people faggot, but that is NOTHING compared to sexual harrassment and invalidating said harrassment!
I mean, really?: Being randomly grabbed? Your fault for being scared. Being literally sexually harrassed? Better go apologize to the guy so he doesn't cause problems for the company!
Just, no. He was in his full right to lash out. Especially with the company client incident. WTF was that??
Don't get me wrong, the story is still good! It's just this aspect of it that is really shittily done and you need to be able to shrug it off to enjoy it.
Granted, it being somewhat unrealistic/comedy focused and having the typical comic 'they WILL screw, no matter what!' idea attached to it, make it end up as a somehwhat cute love story (if you ignore the afore mentioned), but the mistreatment and invalidation of problems really, REALLY irks me and leaves just a bad taste in my mouth since it is so badly done. Has back then when this came out and nowadays. People need to take serious problems, well, serious. Working them out with care is important. :'D
If Nekota had put in effort of making a therapeutic arc or such in which the MC looses his fear gradually rather than just the typical smut trope of 'I feel good after being touched, therefore my problems are nullified', then it could have redeemed itself for the issues. But it wasn't so it definitely can be that some readers will not enjoy it. If you CAN shrug off issues in a plot, then you can still have a good time. As I said, the overall plot idea is great as a setup and the art amazing.
Worth a read but depends on taste and ability to read fiction even if it's unpleasant. I suppose reading 'for the endgame' applies here rather well.
that's how I feel myself. I didn't get to the "good" part everyone is talking about, because it's making me nauseous how the ml treats the mc. why do they take sexual harrassment and sa so little. it bothers me. as a victim of the above as well, I reasonate a lot with the uke and the way the ml just treated him into doing it was so disgusting I just abandoned it. I can't read it anymore, even tho everyone says it's so good.
Totally understandable. Especially if someone was actually subjected to harrassment or worse, these tropes are just an immediate no-go for sure.
That#s likely why these tropes are so popular tho; readers and authors alike were/are probably just NOT understanding and relating to what is factually going on. We tend to see these stories through what I like to call a BL-filter. But that GREATLY twists how some situations are handled or percieved. As a teen i didn't care, but the older I got, the more I could relate to what actual bad situations could make you feel like, how a normal person (not an idealized, fictional character) would react like, etc.. That has incredibly shifted how I view comics and what I can and cannot stand.
Again, the story itself does turn nice, if viewed through the BL-filter, but it doesn't erase the nasty first slap in the face. So I fully understand dropping it if it's just too close to home in the relating department.
unfortunately in a lot of such mangas (especially in nekota's work) you have to wade through a bunch of bullshit around sa, rape and coercion. Even in hidoku shinaide the couple meet through rape and its actually so insane because the reader's end up having to defend the seme's previous fucked up actions because they end up being a cute couple in the end.
rape is needlessly romanticized in bl:( and because of that, I have such a hard time finding something actually good to read
