I expected worse since I have seen most stuff from this author, but it was really not bad.
I liked the tragic story and despite the ending not being all peachy it was good.
It could have been better in a few ways, but oh well.
Good art (wish it was less censored or whatever they did there), nice story although not to everyones taste and a matching ending that didn't magically change the characters feelings within 2 pannels as it is so often. XD
I thought for sure her mother was yet another abusive, salty cunt. I didn't expect this turn however.
It does make me wonder what happened to the father and brother tho. I don't have the feeling they got killed by the monsters, the dad seemed to be powerful in some way and the son was supposed to have similar powers too. I really hope Chise can at some point find them and clear up what happened.
A shame that the mother ended up being manipulated/obsessed(?), she seemed like a loving person.

Seriously, I am SO hyped for this story. Gorgeous characters, good art and a nice plot. Plus, ramen. Now we can just hope we get some good yaoi parts in there. <3

Well, the plot/set-up for the story is really bad or at the very least really half-assed, but the artwork and smut-ish part is good. Although I could really have gone without the seme being a really dislikable asshole. ^^
Anyway, I'm much more interested in the second couple seen on the first cover (glasses guy x demon). I hope the character personalities are better in that one.
And here I thought Eri could end up helping everyone involved before drama hits us hard.

I don't know why you guys are worried about a threesome, Ryouji has barely been seen in this first chapter so it is a huge hint he will not be involved in their relationship in that way. Or involved at all. From my experience this manga can very well go into the direction where Ryouji is a simple, once-in-a-while background character. Maybe he'll get his own story (which I hope).
So yeah, I don't see the point for worries even if the mangaka maybe has a knick for that or recent manga uploads featured threesomes often. So, calm down and wait for an actual indicator for it before worrying. You'll turn grey early on if you don't. ╮( o▽o)╭

I very much love the artwork and that open ending was really satisfying since it leaves us with 2 possible endings. Very nicely done. ^^
(I really liked the narration too, I'd love to see more stuff like that.)
