So sorry to do this but here i go….bear with me
Before i start going ballistic i just want to say that i love the plot, or at least what it’s trying to be. Very interesting setup, unique characters that play a role in the struggle for power, etc,, i do enjoy reading this i really do its just some scenes i just….
Ok now i get to talk shit
1. HORRIBLE STORYTELLING WHAT okay so this one doesn’t rlly matter in the whole scheme of things but can the author stop telling and just show us. Like u dont need to say ur whole ass backstory and plan etc etc just….show us. Let us figure out on our own. I dont rlly mind the spoon-feeding too much tbh, it’s just that sometimes its extra corny and as someone who suffers from serious second hand embarrassment it was really hard for me to read this.
2. “Im a top but oh wait is that a toppier top than me? Oh, he assaulted me and now i like being a bottom”. Dont get me wrong, theres nothing bad w being a switch. What reallly pisses me off is the fact that i really liked the mc. But the mishandling of his character is reallly, really a huge detriment to the story. Like im taken out of the fantasy. Im rooting for him bcuz hes strong and self-sufficient. Not because i want to see him get violated by some generic ahh dude
3. The existence of the top is a crime. The story would have been SO MUCH BETTER if the top had a single shred of humanity. Bro looks like the top from payback but is MILES behind. How do u fuck up ur own story so bad? I love this storyline, i genuinely do. But the amount of times i felt extremely uncomfortable reading this was criminal. I feel like the mc is, for me at least, a pretty fleshed out character in the sense that i really, really felt bad for him when he was being raped. I didnt want to see anything bad happen to him, not even getting called out by others etc. and that's not to say i dont feel for other characters, just that i felt especially connnected to this mc. thats why it hurt so bad whenever smtj happened to him. like i was so uncomfortable….
4. give my man a break. you know what this reminds me of? foul. at least the mc in that one was a little bit respected, if it even counts. this is like no reason except the author is trying to give ir a reason. there is a line and the author crossed it. it feels like every single character is out to get mc. like that green eyed dude… bro mind ur own business how about u worry abt ur dead brother instead of sticking ur nose into this already fucked up man's business…..
in conclusion: the author fumbled so hard but i'll prob continue reading cos tje storyline is actually not too bad (=・ω・=)

The author lowkey real for this ending. Although a part of me wanted them to end up together, it’s also worth acknowledging that if they did end up together, it would feel like a cheap cop out (like in sadistic beauty side story). I know i would have loved them to end up together (because yk when we read we usually want the characters to be tgt), but writing these two together would be disregarding all of what happened in the story earlier just to appease the fans.
Here’s my ultimate cope:
The ending is beautiful. The ending is real. The ending reflects a realistic development of the story’s plot and does not swerve just so the readers can be happy about the pairing. So many tines throughout the story i thought that siwoo would cave and date dohyeok, and i was prepared to complain about for two seconds and then enjoy their happy times together. I was very much anticipating a side story’s side story of them going on cute dates or smth. But to my surprise (in the best way possible) they didnt end up tgt. And yeah it sucks balls that it was such an….incomplete? Feeling ending, but it’s also miles ahead of the ending had siwoo and dohyek gotten together. There’s something about these stories where even if they end up together it doesnt frel deserved. Like yes, theyre dating, but it’s not as fulfilling as, say, the main couple, because of the character dohyeok is. Imo gettinf siwoo to date dohyeok is something that would tank the plotline for me, cuz it’s like dude was the main antagonist and boom now hes dating suha’s best man like. It feels very…unnatural. Just like sadistic beauty side story ending. Not saying anything specific but there was a way that story went in my head and it did not include the two characters ending up together. But then again i’ll still eat it up either way (=・ω・=)
Did the editor not tell the author that the qnas were in bad taste….
I think (HOPEFULLY) that the “grooming relationship” was just a mistranslation. But the author is literally so clueless. minho literally manipulates and abuses woojin and yet here the author is, saying that minho loves him very much. Oh, it’s because something happened in their relationship that’s why he’s this way to woojin! dude, nothing in a relationship warrants this kind of abuse. that’s an issue he needs to work out with his therapist. the author genuinely scares me
