Im so bummed by the entire gun and goo situation: hear me out
A few chaps ago, goo was basically “humanized” to the reader as we finally see him do something “good”, which means two things
1. He’s going to become a more significant character (in this ark, at least)
Or 2. He’s going to die
Im almost certain that goo is going to die ╥﹏╥If he fights with gun, then the outcome will likely be they both die or goo dies. Gun cant lose for the reason that he is charles choi’s #1 player and if he loses, then charles loses. This in turn would rid the series of its big bad guy, who i dont think ptj is willing to kill just yet.
Also, the fact that we as readers feel more affinity toward goo (most people, at least) makes goo’s death more meaningful. Gun as a character is centred around the fact that no one knows his true potential and his black eyes etc. His death wont hit as hard because we were never too emotionally invested in him anyway. Goo’s “humanization” in the past few chapters, including the drinking one, makes me even sadder because it’s like his reintroduction. He’s like a new character that is being introduced into the story, and ptj is already threatening death Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
OKAY this has devolved into a rant but please bare with me as i present you with my biggest gripe: what is the need for the false dichotomy. No seriously, why ptj. WHYYY ヽ(`Д´)ノ gun and goo could easily work together to take over the world (albeit not as simple as it sounds); they dont HAVE to work for or against charles choi. There’s probably a reason to it, but it better be good bcuz in my mind it’s just a false dilemma. I’d love to be proven wrong tho i enjoy gun and goos dynamic the most ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

This is so deep (⊙…⊙ )
Since the character dohyuk is based on the mc’s depression, the “dohyuk” who kidnapped the mc is basically the personification of his depression
The fact that he’s constantly second guessing his attempts at escape (and lack thereof) mirrors how a person with depression might feel—being trapped by something while also unable to navigate their emotions.
The redhair represents the people in his life who try and reach out to help him but are subsequently rejected because of the severity of mc’s depression—in other words, he’s feeling withdrawn from the people in his life because depression (dohyuk) has basically taken over.
Theres also this motif of upside-down panels, mainly when “dohyuk” speaks, but idk what it means,,,maybe it has something to do with the original misery, but i havent read the book or watched the movie ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Anyway i cant believe we’re getting such a deep and meaningful story in a climate where stories like jinx are considered the golden standard ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I accept yoonsung saying that he wont “hit a girl” because it may just be that he thinks there will be an unfair weight/strength difference. I do hope that the girl gets the same treatment as the other ppl because if she doesnt then like…(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Also when do we get the return of undercover yoonsung?!? Put him in a costume. Put him in a silly wig. I know you want to.
