Yes their father was definitely crappy. However, he seems to have genuinely believed Castiel was doing well and that he was better off without his presence
Why he seems so nice to the MC? I think it's really that she *CRUCIALLY* says outloud what she wants.
Castiel is understandably hesistant and shy. Also, his abusers told him he was hated by his dad, so he rarely appeared in front of him and is only *NOW* slowly saying what he wants...Through the MC #-.-)
If there's anyone who should be criticised it should be the King!
He *KNEW* his son was bullied and abused. Abused to the point of wanting to kill himself with berries
But it seems he didn't do *ANYTHING* about it

....At least from what the flashbacks suggest

Okay, I really, really enjoyed it and delayed reading the ending
However, one big thing (and maybe it's me being dumb) I STILL DON'T GET THE TEMPLE BRIDE SACRIFICE THING!!!
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I've tried to get my head around it and I still don't get it
Also, why did the FL's guardian say 'If I had a daughter'?? Dude you HAVE a daughter. Blood or no blood. She's yours. That was disappointing

Don't worry, babe. You're not alone.
That's what I've been asking in the comments on some websites.
Like, what the hell is the sacrificial bride and why are they called a sacrifice when they were the key to calling the Saintess and the strength behind her power.
Like, they should've worshipped her instead of discriminating her like that! Without her, the Saintess they worship will be useless.
The story didn't add much context on this one which is why I didn't like it as much now.

Who is the blonde child, Sera?
...With the family's history I'm kinda confused why they'd bring another child into the mix lol.

Just donate to orphanages and strengthen child abuse laws & policies for the love of all that is good!!?!!
I thought we were going to see her discover she was pregnant first
Ding! Dong! The wicked b*=;h is hopefully dead! ヾ(☆▽☆)
