Is the plot original? No. Should we have guessed from the cover and description? Heck, yes!
Lol, so many complaints act as if the manga told any lies from the onset
It's *exactly* what it says on the tin: a smut filled romance with basic character stereotypes and basic character progression. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
If that's not your bag, fair enough. Don't read it.
ヾ(☆▽☆)
But to imply the manga has in some way failed to deliver or led you astray, is hilarious
As a former policy student this is tickling my brain in the best way (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
I love that even if her ideas do become successful, we see a realistic portrayal of the hoops bureaucrats & policymakers at times have to jump through.
Particularly, at a place and time with misogynistic ideals & a patriarchal society at its height.
Definitely an underrated gem
So wait did the ML's father cheat on the Duchess (his wife)? Or did the ML's mum in some way charm him or something? Is that why the Duchess hates the ML??
She didn't hate him but she warns the mc that he's not right in the head like his mother, he'll do what he wants with no remorse as long as he gets what he wants. The Duchess does care for him tho as shown before he became a weirdo but now that she realised that he's obsessed with the FL she's tryna warn and protect her
I just can't get over my ick at stories that try to suggest a character loving someone of the same gender is either due to trauma and/or can be completely changed if they're given a tiny bit of kindness
But there are people like that, where gender doesn’t matter it’s who they form love for. There’s also trauma bonding, a lot of people would not end up with who there are with now, without trauma. You’re a whole different person if you never had the trauma who formed your personality. There’s plenty of stories where the sexualities are more concrete and not dynamic, but I don’t think we should not hate stories where it’s more fluid.
Sexuality is very fluid, in this story I see the 4th prince as a toxic possessive character, while Uriel seems to be yearning for affection. Even in the original version, I don’t think they were a good couple because the prince might just see Uriel as a possession, while Uriel needed protection. We know the prince is possessive of MC because he likes people who are “different” (common and annoying trope) but he probably did the same thing with Uriel. It wasn’t an equal or healthy relationship to begin with, so regardless of who Uriel ends with I hope it’s an actual loving person. I hope the author goes the route of Uriel falling in love with a non possessive man with the help of MC, and sees their relationship more as family than lovers.
All this to say, I don’t really care for this story because it’s not well written in many aspects, but a situation like this does happen a lot in life.
Also I’m not hating on your comment if it comes across like that, just didn’t want you to feel the ick when reading so it doesn’t ruin your experience.
I’ve read a lot of stories, even ones where it’s the reverse, and two men get together in the contexts after originally being in hetero relationships in the original stories. There’s good writing and bad writing but it’s fun all together! I see it as, if they get a loving healthy relationship at the end of it, it’s good
Even if he is the sole survivor and witness, let's be clear this detective is harassing the MC for *HIMSELF*.
(︶︿︶)=凸
This is the case he can't let go, so he's willing to break the MC (who has already suffered 24 lifetimes of trauma) just to solve the case.
(╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
Taking the MC & ML's dynamic out of the equation, the detective is still badgering a *MINOR*, visiting them at SCHOOL, without their guardian present AND asking them to relieve their trauma.
( ̄へ ̄)
Even if the detective gets some evidence from the MC, the defence could easily argue that the MC was so distressed from all the harassment he said what he needed to, to the get the detective to back off

Have you guys not read manhuas before?? This is what they do
They use every trope in the book to keep extending the manhua, till readers can't keep up with the names anymore
At least the issues are sorted out relatively quickly and easily. Moreover, the angst level is low so it's an easy read to binge on(●'◡'●)
Yeah I have like a catalogue of Chinese manhuas that I read when I want to turn my brain off lol
Ooh give me recommendations
I can’t think of any off the top of my head, but if you get the webnovel app, there’s a huge catalogue of Chinese manhuas. I usually find stuff on there and then read them on mangago.(webnovel has like locked chapters you have to spend coins on)
Or even better, you can go to novelupdates and look for the novels... tbh the manhua adaptations suck big time. They're good to have a clearer image of the characters looks (and places if it's about martial arts and cultivation) but novels are usually more detailed and there's meny genres to chose from. My favorite is world-hopping, the ones with arcs in different words with different plots, think cheating men must die. Honestly I got drawn to them cuz normal novels and comics in general are too long for me. I end up looking for the spoilers and give up. It's also a bonus that it's easy to find many kinds of mc's... female, male, bottom, top, focused on romance and with mo romance at all... they all have this unmistakable soap opera feel... but it's nice to change the type of clichés from the usual rofan tropes... xD
