Taking the MC & ML's dynamic out of the equation, the detective is still badgering a *MINOR*, visiting them at SCHOOL, without their guardian present AND asking them to relieve their trauma.

Even if the detective gets some evidence from the MC, the defence could easily argue that the MC was so distressed from all the harassment he said what he needed to, to the get the detective to back off

Castiel is understandably hesistant and shy. Also, his abusers told him he was hated by his dad, so he rarely appeared in front of him and is only *NOW* slowly saying what he wants...Through the MC #－.－)

Not gonna lie, as someone with chronic conditions that initial scene with the ML and then the maids was triggering .
It really doesn't matter if we're usually in pain and/or discomfort- we never get used to it.
It still hurts. It's still distressing. And we still want, need & deserve comfort and understanding.
I can't tell if he was just saying that to be cruel cos he's pissed? Or cos he didn't think anything of it and was saying it to the frenemy, while just wanting to take her home?

I enjoyed the revenge, but the way the author depicted the FL's power was immensely frustrating
It would've been wayyy better to see it in some kind of physical manifestation and/or at least within her direct control i.e. prayers for her family or writing in her journal.
