if they weren't gonna have her end up with Eclise, they shouldn't have hyped him up so much. i was really hoping she would end up with him. such a disappointment. of course she ends up with the asshole, psychopath prince that tired to murder her. i don't really care what kind of emotional baggage he has, it's such a tiresome trope.

there is no objectively "best" choice for ML. i wouldn't even mind Callisto, i think his psychotic bloodthirsty personality is delightful to watch. i was like "yeeeah!!!" when they first revealed him. but from the very beginning, they made it very clear Penelope was going to either choose Vinter or Eclise, and around chapter 33 she rejected Vinter leaving only Eclise. his puppy dog thing, despite most likely being fake, is unfairly cute. if they weren't going to have him end up with her, they shouldn't have especially written the chapter where Penelope feels this 'kinship' with Eclise and is like 'our situation is not that different' or whatever.
i am aware i can't change the author's decision for the endgame couple, but i CAN complain, which i am doing right now. after all, that is what the comment section is for.

okay this one is much better and actually helps understand helena more!
also, does anyone else REALLY fucking hate the prince? he's so freaking annoying and spoiled.

yeah, i'm actually so happy to finally have an antagonist caracter who goes against the MC for valid reasons! i can see our MC and helena never being friends and going against each other because they BOTH have valid and reasonable purpose that just oppose the other. Does'nt mean they are both right, just that their circonstances brought them to this. I love this! first time i see this so well done in a manga and it brings me much more into the story than other 2 dimensional caracters!
And you are right, the prince is completely an annoying brat! it's terrifiying that he's supposed to become king...
the art's gotten so much better!! it's sooo pretty. don't even care that much about the story. just swooning at the art the whole time.
