I can empathize with his past. By the looks of it he definitely had it rough. As one comment stated, since dan had a similar upbringing he perhaps thought he should’ve been stronger. But i guess his definition of strong is through fighting. Dan’s strength comes from his unrelenting will to keep going. That’s what makes him strong. Doesn’t excuse jaegang’s behavior but the past somewhat explains it. Funny actually, how similar circumstances can still lead to different outcomes between people.
