I wouldn't say it's only in the latest chapter. I'm noticing the changes as a gradual progression. Compared to Aki, I think Ueda has developed more in terms of character and it shows. He doesn't carry the same aloofness as he once did. His reactions and responses seem more measured and assertive. Also, his facial features are becoming defined and mature unlike in the earlier chapters when he looked more rounded and youthful. These aspects are most prominent in the current chapter.
I like reading stories about couples like this. Dudes in love, vibing to their mutual interests and supporting each other.

So yes, you can question the manga's perspective n identify a rape scene when you see it. You can also choose not to condone rapey behaviour and continue reading the story. That's what this site allows and you should take advantage of it.
