i’m not a waitress but i can take andrew’s tip god damn
keep in mind the symbolism of a flickering light in literature/media can either forewarn death, impending danger, or the truth. when the MC questions whether the ML is plotting revenge for past sufferings during their time as child actors, the switched-on light delivers a silent confirmation. unbeknownst to the MC, the ML is already exacting his revenge by stealing the MC's fate and living the life he wished for as "hangyul." a relative (his uncle i think?) told the ML that staying close to the MC will cause his death. we previously knew that the ML stole the MCs faith and tied it with his, per red string of faith, so maybe the wish he made out of his obsession/hatred is slowly killing him bc the fated life that the ML was supposed to live has been detached from him. thus, because of this deviation from destiny, eunhan will cease to exist bc his destined path has came to an end.
i also think this might be a double edged sword because the ghost that are attached to the MC warns him to stay away from the ML.
also i don’t think the ML is cold bc of trauma, i think the consequences of his actions is catching up to him
i tagged this as a spoiler even though it’s merely a self made theory bc i don’t wanna spoil anything if it is true, but i doubt it. also, i love overthinking. but also i hope this helps anyone who might be confused by the plot. (*^◯^*)
so he can only be a considerate and respectful person when he’s drunk?? how pathetic
i don’t think i felt genuine fear for a character like this before
this is pissing me off so bad. if I was Dan, I’d put on a glove and punch him in his fucked up shoulder just to prove a point
I feel like Doha is playing the long game with Bada. On the surface, it seems like he’s helping Bada but I feel like his ultimate goal is so much deeper. Maybe to stop Bada from finishing the game.
The killing of the random villager in the first chapter despite not being "awoken" could be him stopping Bada from achieving the ‘true’ ending he needed. I honestly think just like how the blue haired ‘good natured idiot’ started to awaken despite not using a cassette player, instead the love of his life died and he became distraught. I think something similar happened to Doha with Bada but Bada doesn’t remember because he died before he could save the game. This could explain Doha's obsessive focus on Bada.
I really think he was just pretending to be a player and was very careful about going off script UNTIL bada went off script first cuz he smirked when Bada snapped on him. That’s how he confirmed that bada was a player after the 18-19th game because he felt bada acting differently compared to other games. Bada previously mentioned that his moral compass was ’broken’ but I personally don’t believe he had one in the first place as he has disregard for everyone’s life, this also goes with why he keeps telling the other NPC’s/Players to do things that raises a death flag.
I also believe he plays a bigger role to bada than we realize. As far as we know, he can kill the murder and Bada “can’t”, as in the killer resurrects (this also makes me believe that Bada is the only NPC while the rest are players). Bada also mentions that when he went around telling the others that they were in a video game, Doha simply ignored him, maybe hes a player character but doesn’t want Bada to know because he doesn’t want to be separated from him as they’ll never be able to find each other again if they finish the game. He also “discovered” a hidden cassette player but it was on top of a high cabinet so how did he see it? Also in the panel it looks like he’s breaking the 4th wall, instead of looking at the cassette player he’s looking at the readers, but I don’t know if that’s on purpose by the author or not. Also him putting a tape into the black cassette unlocked the house where the family was murdered, very interesting since after the torture mission they saw a newspaper clipping of the house and the house has those black cassettes instead of the white one Bada uses.
Bada is also obviously an unreliable narrator as we’re only seeing the game from his perspective so some of the things Doha told him could be straight up lies, i personally don’t believe the story he told Bada when he killed the second murder before they had sex because no one raised a death flag, unless Doha being alone was the death flag, and we never get to see how Doha dies to reset the game. Also notice how the killer NEVER targets Doha. Suspicious.
TLDR: Doha is suspicious and probably is secretly sabotaging Bada
I jump around a lot but I SWEAR this makes sense to me guys, I SWEAR!!!
i wish the tension played out a liiiiiiittle bit longer but the seme does a good job of restraining himself
their relationship might have been rocky at the beginning but i’m glad taeju is going through some character development and slowly turning into a green flag.
— taeju releasing calming pheromones, while reassuring euihyun, to help him relax when he doesn’t realize he’s giving off distressed omega pheromones is such a sweet gesture.
— taeju’s beginning to become attuned to euihyun’s emotions, he can tell when he’s spiraling and does his best to help him calm down.
— when euihyun has an extreme reaction towards something, he reminds himself that euihyun is scared and has been in survival mode for so long that his defensive response is to raise his first.
— he tells euihyun that he matters to him when euihyun is only living for his younger brother, makes choices that he believes are in his younger brother’s best interest, and doesn’t care about himself as long as euiyoung doesn’t end up living a life like his.
— he pats euihyun to sleep like a good husband and is respectful of euihyuns boundaries of his pillow barricade.
— he drains the pool. he takes away the large body of water so euihyun, who’s mentality got so bad he thought about walking into the ocean to drown again, doesn’t drown himself like he was about to do when they first met.
— does after care after sexy times when he sees his omega is clearly out of it. you don’t see this often in most bl’s.
— and most of all, i love how he never hits the omega back.
i also love how badass the omega is and doesn’t take shit from anyone, not even his alpha! it’s been a while since a bl made me so antsy for new chapters, even tho it has common bl themes i don’t like, i do like this manhwa (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
the MC overthinks so much, poor guy,,, he’s always in his head :( i hope the ML notices and reassures him that he won’t abandon him or play with his emotions again
this is so sad. the red hair guy obviously needs help. it’s not good he’s dependent on the blonde guy because he’s knows he can give him the pleasure he wants (and because he likes him). i hope his redemption arc is soon and he won’t have to suffer more, but from what’s happening, i guess we have to watch him get rejected by someone he actually loves in order from him to become a better person and repent for his previous actions, especially for what he did to suha. i actually really like their relationship dynamic (especially in bed) and i think if they were healthy for each other, they’d be my favorite couple. they have a lot of potential, hoping this side story only gets better!
