Mmm, nice story, the ending is open but I don't think it's a problem. Surely I would've liked to see them happy and together, but well I think the ending aligns with the characters, their relationship was pretty "open" and confused to begin with, so it's ok if we don't get a proper closure. I believe tho that there is all the evidence to infer that they will have a happy ending: the blond guy stayed in Japan and tried to get in touch with the other guy, the politician moved on from his father and is gonna look for the blondie. I'm sure they'll have a real relationship from now on.

It's kinda interesting because in romance usually is the man who is an ass and hurts the poor girl in love. It's nice to see this trope in reverse, although the behaviour of the FL is really frustrating... ML is literally perfect, if I were her I would even forget I ever had a husband before.
