Wow!! Its not enough for that jerk to torture and kill aeroc, that jerk even destroy aeroc’s tomb! Wow! This childish egoistic psychopath jerk! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
tbh it went way past just killing raphiel, it was also due to his internalized homophobia from falling in love with an alpha. obviously aeroc is not innocent and raphiel deserved better from both of them (since the primary reason kloff liked him in the first place was because he looked like aeroc), but what kloff did was basically kick a dead horse repeatedly and make himself more miserable in the process.
Honestly if Kloff wasn't such a bitch to Aeroc and followed his true feelings none of this shii would've happened. Not only did he deny his feelings, he even went as far to insult Aeroc for being interested in another alpha, him. And it didn't even stop right there, when Kloff go together with Raphiel, he kept flaunting and showing off their relationship, getting all too intimate most especially at times when Aeroc is present just to spite him. Yes, Aeroc's actions were wrong but let's be frl Kliffitykloff is the true villain of this story and he deserves to suffer the most painstaking gruesome punishment for what he did to both Aeroc and Raphiel. And it doesn't help that the only reason he got with Raphiel is because he LOOKS like Aeroc. This bitch jst tryna feed his frkn ego and look what his actions caused, both deaths of a rebound and an unrequited lover. Kloff can go kiss Satan's ass
What aeroc did is indeed wrong which he had been paying for what he did to raph until he died. He had to give birth to 5(?) children while he was sick and tortured by that shitty jerky clown.. this bastard better pay for all his tolls that are way long overdue. I was expecting him to start paying at the first chapter of 2nd season tho.. (︶︿︶)=凸 wished the author makes that jerk
remembered everything instead of aeroc
But Clough was partially responsible why Aeroc snapped.. we see him repeatedly mocking Aeroc, he was showing his affection to Rapiel and then smiles at Aeroc.
He created that animosity between cousins. If he loved Rapiel, he should have just declined most of Aeroc’s invitation, but he brought Rapiel and was very confrontational about a lot of things. Aeroc tried to accept things… but he ultimately snapped. It’s not an excuse, but you can see that it wasn’t only Aeroc but also Clough’s fault. As much as not all their interactions were shown, you can see it building for quite some time.
But how be executed his revenge was still messed up. If someone kills your wife, you send them to jail or you kill them… not impregnate him. He just used Rapiel’s death to finally have power over Aeroc.
Aeroc tried asking to have a relationship with him, he was trembling. It took a lot of courage to say that. And Clough laughed and called him disgusting.
You should read the novel when you get to v5… you’ll understand Aeroc’s character more. His really awkward because he wasn’t taught to love, he was even taught that he couldn’t show emotions. He doesn’t know how to be true around people, because everyone around him either wants his title or good looks. He doesn’t judge people base on status but their actions…
His the kicker in Clough’s own return in v5. He didn’t look for Rapiel, he immediately pursued Aeroc because when Aeroc died. He realized that what he wanted and Rapiel was this sad soul who died and deserved better. He established this scheme to insert himself back in Aeroc’s life. Slowly trying to get Aeroc to fall in love with him. So he didn’t love Rapiel… he really did just use him. That’s why he had so much guilt and didn’t want to see him.
Read the novel… it was Clough who thinking this stuff. Even in Aeroc’s return, you could see that Clough wasn’t just homophobic but he had this inferiority complex, because Aeroc is beautiful, rich and smart that he out of his league. He even criticized him for being easy, because he didn’t punch the alpha who he was talking to. Aeroc must be flaunting that beautiful omega, to remind Clough that his a poor graduate who can’t have a beautiful omega. Clough’s pov was so terrible…
Aeroc in vol 2 said that he would have given up everything to be with Clough. Nothing mattered. Even when Clough hurts him, he would forgive him. But when Clough was hurting, it was so painful to bear.
Aeroc’s love for him was genuine and innocent that was distorted because of Clough’s actions. Remember his line, when he was imagining being married to Rapiel. It would be peaceful but boring. Was it so boring, that he had to drag Aeroc to the mix? Both succeeding volumes were like clues why book 1 was fucked up.
Clough with his inferiority complex, rude, asshole attitude. And Aeroc’s awkward and his problem of bottling up everything that explodes on his face. He wasn’t taught to deal with emotions, so his like a bomb, which is sad. When his mom died, his dad made it look that crying is a weakness and makes him unqualified to be a successor. He battered that teaching in Aeroc’s head. He always criticizes him that he wasn’t a fit heir to Teiwind. Aeroc’s dad really screwed Aeroc, he doesn’t have self respect because even in v5, he was scared of his dead dad, he agreed to have this relationship with Clough. Clough was rude to him, but Aeroc blamed his incompetence instead. His a really unfortunate character… who fell in love with a terrible man.
Yo @Freeee I really think you should reread the novel again. Like what @Juliette12346 stated, he did confess but Kloff was the one who turned him down all because he had this inferiority complex towards Aeroc that (1. He despises Alpha×Alpha relationships and thinks they're disgusting/ he's really just a homophobe tho) and (2. He thinks Aeroc is an arrogant aristocrat who is, btw way, out of his league) But despite their differences in status and gender, Aeroc knew what he wanted and he wanted to pursue Kloff. And what did Kloff do? He being the insecure and immature little shii he is, completely turns him down and insulted Aeroc even more all because he can't accept his true feelings and made up this narrative that Aeroc is a true "arrogant, egotistical, supreme aristocrat that lacks empathy" but he's really just this broken awkward guy because he has a broken childhood. Btw, I love having these typa discussions so don't take what I say to heart. I love debating
Ps- @JustCallMeApple I love how you explain the novel so clearly and inputing some other information I don't know of like the If Alt ending and the other side characters like Wolflake, Kloff's employee (I keep forgetting his name lol) and Raphiel Vandyke and how their actions contribute some details to the rest of the volumes.
He realized that, he tried to commit suicide in his return because he had so much baggage that it was tormenting him. He had hurt so many people. From Rapiel, Aeroc, his kids and so on.
He saw that the new world was perfect and he didn’t belong there. I felt bad. He was hallucinating about his son, Rapiel jr who he probably wasn’t able to apologize after that confrontation. There was so much pain in his return arc, it started out as a blessing in his head, Aeroc is alive and he was his only goal. But as he got to know this unbroken Aeroc, it destroyed him, because he truly believed that OG Aeroc hurt Rapiel out of jealousy that Rapiel was an omega… but it became clear that it wasn’t.
His arc is really big FU from the author. I never seen a story so peaceful that it was killing its antagonist. It was beautiful and haunting. That his happiness was ultimately a punishment. Because if only he had been honest from the beginning, a lot of hurt would have been avoided. He could have avoided hurting all his kids. Rapiel could have had a real family. And be with the one he truly wanted…. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
In the IF story it haunted Clough back. In that short story where Aeroc survived. Linus Wolflake knew what Clough did to Aeroc and was threatening to expose him.
Clough was so scared because he didn’t want the kids to know why they were born. When his mind was clearer after the hormone meds and being with Aeroc who he was imprinted with… he realized it was all his fault. That he used Rapiel’s death as an excuse, that he shouldn’t have married him in the first place. That he doesn’t deserve happiness nor love, because if he did, Rapiel’s and their baby death would have meant nothing. He even admitted to Aeroc, he had loved him all this time. Now it was all coming back to him, and was going to hurt his children. He had to sell the estate and take Aeroc and the kids back to his hometown.
If you’re wondering why Aeroc went with him. The kids might be exposed to the truth, and it wasn’t something both parties wanted. Who wants to expose their kids to that. Wolflake tried approaching Rapiel jr… who was probably six or seven years old.
deserved! I hope he suffers some more, as much as possible.. for everything he put Aeroc through. I have no sympathy for him. He's rotten to his core! no decent human would have done what he did.. his sins can't even be considered a mistake, unlike Aeroc's who genuinely made a mistake and didn't mean to cause any real harm to Rapiel. Kloff intentionally did what he did, using Rapiel as an excuse.. all for his fucking ego!
World 1.. Aeroc woke up after three months. He wakes up surrounded by his four kids. It’s the author’s alternate ending to world 1. Wolflake hated Clough, because his in love with Rapiel.. but Clough failed as a husband in every aspect.
Wolflake married Rapiel in world 2 and 3. If you read the side-stories in v4, they have 3 kids.
I’m not sure if he knew what Aeroc did, he probably did. He was one of the people who refused to see or help Aeroc in world 1, but was always around to help in world 2-3.
He is rotten and he is paying for it in v5. He’ll never be truly happy. A rotten person, when he realizes he couldn’t be with OG Aeroc, he stays with Au Aeroc. Using the imprint as an excuse for his violent and cruel behavior. He was still selfish because he knows that bs, but he admitted that “It was because of my pride that refuses to lose to the beautiful Count. It was all my fault.”
My favorite part of v5 is when Au Aeroc confronted Clough about the painting he commissioned, it was OG Aeroc in the cabin.
And Au Aeroc was so angry. He asked Clough “It was a dirty picture! Did you enjoy destroying me? Did it make you happy!?”
The horror in Clough’s face as he cried was wonderful like everything exploded at that moment.
