Chairman Kim is basically a big arms dealer who came back to his home country Korea and decided to start meddling in Dream Ent, after which he bought a huge amount of shares for the company. This posed a problem for Jay, since he now had a rival for the position of Dream Ent.'s successor(Which was supposed to be him, since the President of Dream Ent. wanted him to be). And now, Chairman Kim also bought a huge amount of shares for Dream Productions, a subsidiary of Dream Ent. Problem here is that Jay was originally the guy with the most shares for Dream Productions(shares given to him by the President) so that he could "conquer" Dream Productions and later on Dream Ent. Without control over Dream Productions, it would be hard for him to become successor.
With the support of the "anti president" group(a group of people supporting Chairman Kim and opposing Dream Ent. President), Chairman Kim managed to pretty much take control of Dream Productions, with Jay being the only obstacle. But now, Jay unexpectedly sold his shares for Dream Productions as well to Chairman Kim, because he needs more money to pay his inheritance tax(so that he can get his inheritance from his paternal grandfather). So now, Chairman Kim has full control over Dream Productions and a major drama "The Memory" which is smthing Jay didn't wanna give up on since its practically a guaranteed hit.
Jay is in a disadvantageous position rn since he sold all his shares of Dream Production and rumor even has it that the President is giving the successor position to his son, instead of Jay. He can't really fight for Dream Ent. itself since he's not even a major shareholder there too.
