You can say that it's a little sad (the backstory that is) but the couples stay together and in love and it has a happy ending. You should definitely read it, it is one of my favourite mangas!

So my eyes are leaking because of that chapter of Takato's grandmother. I was hesitant to move past chapter one after their rocky start but I'm glad I did. Characters and plot matured and the supporting characters are funny now I can't wait to see more. Plus the sex scenes are A+(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
