also i know we're not really supposed to be rooting for yoshiki and hikaru, but i just love them sm. my doomed yaoi. but im just a sucker for feel good and happy endings. i know that he is not actually hikaru. he is a completely different person, but yoshiki treats them the same. despite trying to tell others he doesn't, he still fundamentally treats them both as if they're hikaru. that's why he's so willing to hide the truth from others and why he keeps helping this hikaru despite having no obligations to this new person. because he still thinks of the monster as hikaru.
and he's not supposed to even be so attached to'hikaru' because it's dangerous and it could possibly turn him into a monster too. and who know what could happen then. but a small, small part of me still wants this to have a good ending for yoshiki and hikaru, regardless if it's hikaru returning to yoshiki in the end or yoshiki embracing the new hikaru.
i can't bear to see truly sad and depressed endings. and honestly if we get one, the only ending i'm accepting is yoshiki somehow dying with the monster, to finally solve the problems of the villlages. i just don't think i could stand to see yoshiki move on and date another random man in the future. bc i just love him with hikaru so much
i wonder of the three endings i proposed gets picked, or even better, the author will completely surprise us with a different idea. who knows

this makes peak yaoi. i read an angel x demon yaoi manga and man, i love the dynamic. especially because if you think about how certain religions depict angels and devils, you know that angels can become fallen angels, and they stop being 'good.' i just love the idea of an angel being twisted, and the demon being in the palm of their hand, even when the demon is the bottom. plus the angel falling into temptation like a human, is the best part. though looking at the comments and how some people irl believe that angels only exist to love god and follow him, i think it would be interesting to think of angels as not entirely human, but sometimes display human like characteristics.
like angels naturally are inclined to follow god and usually do not stray from this. but they also have free will even though they have strong hesitation to disobey. which makes it have an interesting story with angel x devil because the angel becomes tempted by not satan, but rather a regular devil.
this is just a word vomit because I love the concept of fallen angels. bc fallen angels now go with the devils, but they are still angels first. that's why they're so beautiful, but now so tainted. as someone not religious, it's fascinating to me the concept of good and bad being depicted like this.
