Idk maybe I got tired of overly competent overly strong villains that I kind of enjoyed this light story.

Similar to the movie 'I Saw The Devil' (not the gory side), in here, the MCs CONSISTENTLY got the upperhand way above way before the villain. Given, Susan was of average intelligence, average strength. Kind of fun to see a villain getting pummeled and humbled at each turn. I'm tired to see MCs having a hard life, in here, they have a quite easy-going life with their mediocre villain.

Having said that, I actually wish to see what actually happened to Susan post lake scene. So curious!

Manipulative, manipulative good for nothing Hayato (seme). And the best friend / ex-boyfriend? Please. I don't need emotionally unavailable / emotionally cheating boyfriend to Jun (uke). Jun is much too good for you. I actually hoped Jun would just leave Hayato (despite the Hayato's ex-boyfriend / bestfriend GASLIGHTING Jun that if Jun left, he must have not loved Hayato at all in the first place). For God's sake, YOU ARE THE REASON FOR THE BREAKUP. Hayato, if your ex is clearly more important to you, than make him your boyfriend. Don't make Jun feel like a rebound or settling down on some available second choice. Fuck you man

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD if you do not know how to translate Oppa, Unnie, Hyung, Noona, Dongsaeng, Ahjussi, PLEASE JUST KEEP IT AS IT IS. Brother and Sister used by English language IS NOT EQUIVALENT for God's sake... We can understand oppa, but we can't connect with BROTHER. Please, your readers are not stupid. Either you keep the terms of endearment in original Korean language, or you can use direct character names. I was so mad looking at Hari calling Eugene as Brother when everyone knew she does not mean it incestuously.

A lot of readers criticised the story being too slow, and I actually agree.. It has been 75 chapters and we are not even halfway to artfully resolving or uncovering important plot points.

- Estelle had not even shown her face yet.
- Elodia barely begin warming up to her adoptive family (I mean, she spent her day rejecting their newfound adoration and repentance).
- Reian's true identity and back story was still unknown.
- Villains demise would still be a long way to go.
- Elodia's parents and adoptive parents back stories were also unknown. As to how she ended up in Duke Perdia's guardianship.
- Goddess of the underworld Arkalla (or Irkalla idk man) and her minions (most probably the Southern Mage Tower Master, Empress and Duchy of Angelos) masterplan to world damnation was still unknown.
- Elodia's secret ability and ties to Ishtar / Irkalla (Seven Deadly Sins etc) was also still unknown.
- Elodia's role in prophecy involving the Holy Temple was nowhere near to being unresolved.
- Elodia's romance line was wavering between . Reian (the mercenary king) and the Crown Prince. Gotta say highly likely it was going to be Reian anyway.
- Lord Ithis, the West Mage Tower Master, had not yet been given a backstory and a role to help beat the villains, considering he was Cinderella's fairy godmother to Elodia.

Story is actually quite enjoyable, but there are some things that threw me off...

Firstly, seriously bad translation. The scanlators could not even align on the proper spelling. Most of the time, I had to guess EVERYTIME who / which / what exactly are they talking about.

For example, Crown Prince name is Jeno, Zeno, Jinois, Jenoah.. Kingdom name is Assiria, Asiria, Azirria (pretty sure author-nim actually wanted to spell Assyria which was the ancient kingdom back in 14BC).. Angelina's clan name was Jewelry, Jewely, Juelri, Jueli.. And many, many more.

Secondly, the moment Angelina fell in the arms of Duke Edward Crawford was the moment Ed fell in love with her. Not much effort afterwards even. Lazy writing tbh. Pushing too many cliche narratives with this storyline.

Thirdly, villains in this story were overwhelmingly outnumbering and near invincible. Close to 60++ chapters in and they hadn't uncovered any weakness of the villains yet. Hype the villain excessively just so that the MC achievements later seem even more incredible.

Initially, I started this thinking Laurencia had the greatest amount of things to surmount and overcome. Turned out, Ercia was the one who had biggest challenges and heartaches in life.. She was in so much pain for so long that she turned jaded and bitter.

I'd prefer reading a story where Ercia overcame her pain and trauma, to be the better person. Perhaps recognising her limits and overcoming it with her own merits. Laurencia already had it all, so the whole journey it felt a little boring and bland.

Frankly, I was at season 2 finale and did not feel the pull to keep reading about Laurencia anymore.

Alright, for those who are not familiar with Asian terms of endearment, please take note.

English language does not have an equivalent terms for Oppa, Hyung, Unnie, Noona, Dongsaeng.. Hence, literal translation like 'brother' and 'sister' completely lacked the Asian cultural nuances since terms like 'oppa' and 'noona' in SK definitely are not reserved for only family members, but could be used for romantic partners as well. It is a term of respect based on age, and in certain cases, closeness.

While 'brother' and 'sister' in English language is mainly platonic, but 'oppa' and 'noona' in SK are prevalent in both platonic and romantic relationships.

And yes, reading through the story where Creed keeps calling Naviah 'sister' give me some icks too, but when I imagined 'noona', it made sense

First of all, I almost had a brain aneurysm trying to read chapter 30. I mean... It was so dang bad I couldn't understand anything.

Secondly, the story is told in a way that is so confusing. Not to mention, the dialogues between characters there were so stilted and irrational at times. Made me thought a teenage girl was writing this story. Seriously, this story is like a teenage fluff. Nof a lot of depth, forced romance between Leah and Devan / Dane (honestly great plot armor, not much development was there), and just overall weak story telling (main premise is actually quite good ngl but the story-telling is the demise of this series).

Thirdly, facial expressions were poorly illustrated. It kind of reminded me of early days simulation game. They recycled certain expressions over and over again for various situations. Kind of disappointed that the visuals could not bring the depth of emotion in most of the scenes.


Not bad. And yet, not great.

This got to be the most romantic thing I have ever heard for far too long.. Ethan, you rascal.. How dare you brought tears to my majestic eyes..

Ethan : "I've loved you then even when you didn't want me. I love you now. And I'll love you forevermore, Your Highness."
Ethan : "If you want me to (love you), I'll repeat it over and over again until I take my final breath."

I shed tears again when our Knight in Shining Armor, Ser Stefan, proposed to Clara. Oh my heart..

Also, the spirit whatsoever serves absolutely NO PURPOSE AT ALL (other than saving Ethan at the brink of death). Idk why the people of that world is so crazy about em. Absolutely useless.
