Momo's perpetual smile just makes everything that much more painful and sad. Like he's trained himself to hold back the tears because he knows he won't be comforted, anyway. It kills me, thank goodness he has sweetie Yata to help him through it.
That's exactly right. EVeryone just used him, even his mom. So he had to be his own comfort. He had to laugh it all away. He had to bury the real fear and feeling.

I know I should be rooting for Taichi and Nao, but at this point Nao and Nishina make the healthier couple. It's not even that I dislike Taichi (although his raping Naoto didn't exactly grant him my favor), and I get that his current behavior is because he's scared to see Naoto get hurt. But I just think he and Nao aren't all that compatible, especially in the way they communicate (or don't communicate, rather). They'll probably ultimately end up together because this is yaoi and true love reigns, but if it was real life, I think both Nao and Taichi might be happier with someone else.
I just came on here to re-read and there's an update!!!! I'm so happy, I could read hundreds of chapters about the adorable love between these two <3

My heart is getting pulverized. I fully expect for the next chapter to start with Naoto slapping away Nishina's kiss attempt. Poor Nao, both Nishina and Taichi seem to think they know what's best for him and are rather forceful about conveying it. Let the guy live and have his own say! I know a lot of people are jumping on to the Nishina bandwagon, but honestly, I feel like he's just projecting his own struggles on Naoto--basically, giving Naoto the comfort and understanding he wish someone had given him. I don't think it's coming from a malicious place AT ALL, but it's still a bit selfish and not particularly healthy. Sheesh. These characters just all need to take a time out and reflect on their actions.

Totally agree! So sick of seeing him get jerked around and having to hold back tears more and more as the series progresses. At this point I'm just shipping Nao and happiness (〜￣△￣)〜
