Ryuuji’s decision to not to speak up about the assault for fear of being kicked out and having nowhere to go and blaming himself for taking a position that he felt wasn’t meant for him were so poignant. In this dog-eat-dog world, you really just gotta grab every opportunity you can to survive. Tbh, there will always be someone better than you but when the opportunity presents itself, you just gotta hold on to it and give it your all. You have the right to survive too.

I’m still at chapter 8 but holy sht that was THE BEST REVENGE EVER ROFL I love when characters get a taste of their own medicine (nothing too extreme tho). I don’t hate Eungyeom at all and I always uphold the belief that it’s better to reject someone right away rather than string them along but c’mon let people down easy, don’t tell them they’re ugly ‘coz we all have different types and standards of beauty. And I know they’re gonna fall in love and I’m rooting for them but I love that Jihyuk got his revenge mrahahaha.

Not everyone’s cup of tea for sure but it wasn’t too heavy as long as you don’t expect a lovey-dovey happily ever after. It’s about jaded people doing whatever they can to survive and satisfy their own needs (sex, codependency, money). And none of them were looking for love (except Kouji). I wouldn’t call this story deep or beautiful but it has a realistic portrayal of a consensually loveless relationship. Consensual polyamory is not for everyone but for people not opposed to it, you might actually appreciate this story and how the characters made their rltnshp work for them in the end.

SPOILERS AHEAD
Manaoto just wanted companionship and meaningless sex, Naoki just wanted a “master” who will pamper him for the rest of his life, Jin wanted money, and Kouji wanted love but it’s not Manaoto’s fault at all that he can’t give Kouji what he wants.

About Manaoto: We’ll never know how it was really like between him and Shuu-san bc he said Shuu was at times gentle with him. Was it an act of manipulation or gaslighting, or did Shuu secretly like Manaoto in his own toxic way, we’ll never know. Still, Manaoto insists that he loved Shuu and who are we to judge anyone’s feelings or how a rape victim chooses to cope with reality, right? And he’s doing everything he can just to “feel alive” and temporarily fill that void in his heart. It’s not his fault that he doesn’t want to accept anyone’s love for him, it’s actually his way of not hurting other people too. In reality, not everyone needs love to survive and what we call happiness is different for everyone. I’m glad the 3 of them were able to make their poly relationship work, even setting clear boundaries like not bringing other people home but being free to do whatever outside. This story does have a happy ending, just not the type that most of us are used to.

I thought this would be too heavy but it’s actually not. This is prbbly the first time that I didn’t hate the abuser. Ofc, there’s no excuse for abuse but the author wrote Kan-chan’s character so well. He was sick but was really tormented by what he did to Yumi and got karma in a way which is refreshing since I’ve read plenty of stories where abusers get away with their crimes way too easily. Forgiveness is not needed here, actively trying to do better is what’s really important. I already read bits of Kan-chan’s story before this so that’s prbbly why I can’t help but feel for Kan-chan too.

I feel like Yumi is an accurate portrayal of some (just some) people who choose to stay with their abusive partners. They keep clinging on to the hope that the “good” version of their partner will magically reappear one day, stop all the abuse, and everything will return to how it once was. Plus, it’s damn hard to walk away from someone that you’ve loved for years esp if they show their good side sporadically in between all the abuse. But I’m super glad that Yumi found the strength to walk away, not many people do. That break-up scene actually felt somewhat easy, almost like all the strings that connected them were cut in one go and suddenly Yumi was free from all his shackles.

The first time I read this, I didn’t actually like it that much (side stories weren’t posted yet back then) but after a few months, I came crawling back bc I remembered some parts of the story that left a big impression on me. I appreciated it more the second time and the side stories are adorable. This was a funny and easy read, kinda gonna miss this.

This got depressing real quick but I’m so glad Julia got her revenge. Love her. And that family... I don’t even know what to say. But I’ll continue reading, thank you translator/uploader

Love that they called in a professional to learn more about rope play and how said professional gave helpful warnings about the dangers of tying the rope too tight

I know Aerak didn’t owe red-head anything and red-head is prbbly better off with someone else anyway but I just feel fcking sad for him. But Aerak is so happy with Heeno, we really can’t blame them. I just wish author gave red-head a side story, he got such a big heart, he deserves happiness like Jaerim
