I’m not sure that what happened to him can be called rape bc he did consent to it even tho he only consented to it to appease his lover but it was still sad. I thought this would be a story where the uke would just keep hurting other people but turns out, the people he hurt also hurt him in their own way which made all the hurting somewhat bearable for me. I never came to like the uke but I have nothing against him - we good.
Ngl, was only interested in reading this for the smut. I admit the smut is sexy but I still prefer bara bodies. And it took me a while to “like” the smut with Eunho bc maaaan the creator did not skimp on the smut with uke’s previous sex partners. I’m usually ok with seeing an MC have sex with others as long as it’s MEANINGLESS but HERE, the creator really showed the uke having sex with someone who loved him one-sidedly and a professor that he used to love. Man, seeing those and then seeing him have sex with the one he ends up with was really tough at first lmao.

This was like a breath of fresh air after all the trash I’ve been reading lately lmao. I put this off for a long time bc I thought it would give me pain but it ended up being a pretty light read despite the threats and that one other sad thing that happened (i’m trying not to spoil anyone).
I was so relieved that the attempted rape in the last few chaps fell thru. Altho this webtoon involves drugs, sexual assault, oral rape, coercion, etc the tone isn’t as dark as other webtoons.
Also, Suha isn’t your typical innocent and naive MC, our boy liked his casual sex until he got with Jiwoon so just be aware of that if you don’t like slutty ukes. Suha is no cheater tho and he’s our precious baby. Pretty sure Jiwoon isn’t going to turn out like that mofo red-head, he’s always been a bit possessive but he always gets a hold of himself. I’m sure he’ll still be the same Jiwoon that we’re all rooting for when S3 rolls around.

Jp has age of consent set by prefecture the law mentioned is saying no prefecture can set it below 13 all the prefectures laws are 16 or above.

Agree but Japan's age of consent was not actually 13. One law implies that it is but there are multiple layers that prevent any sexual relations with a minor. There's a law about fornication which isn't allowed if you're under 18. Other aspects to it that basically implies that the age of consent is 18.
The issue is that there are regional laws around this topic that ambiguously creates loopholes. But under the radar, it vaguely explains that sexual relationships with a minor (under 18) is not allowed. Though 16-18 is debated on depending on the age of the older partner.
Glad to see Japan creating a national law on it though. We need to protect children and minors from any form of grooming or sexual abuse.
Asian here as well, it's even worse in my country, the age of consent is 12. I mean, what in the world does a 12 year old even know? I might've known better but judging from how I read 12 year olds speak in SNS, it creeps me the heck out. Them acting like they know it all. There was a teacher and student who caused a scandal in our neighborhood when he got the student pregnant. And for me, who's frankly also still a minor, it just creeps me out on how the future will be.
But I also know my teacher's story. She had a crush on a practice teacher, she was 17 and he 21. She confessed when she was 19 and was no longer his pupil and well turns out he felt the same and admitted that he was afraid she'd find out about his feelings and has always tried to hide it until she was of age and wait for her. They got married 2 years ago. So idk honestly. If they're willing to wait for each other until they're both of legal age, I think it's fine. As long, and I mean AS LONG as withing that time they wait, they're relationship remains platonic or at least a mutual understanding of their feelings.
