On one hand I try to understand her - you are in an unknown place where laws are very unlike your own world - killing people is a completely normal thing etc. so the logical choice would be to try to get back (even though her life so far also seemed shitty so I think modern civilisation is the only thing that she wants back which is understandable) but... BUT omfg if you don't trust those around you, then don't fucking trust anyone, especially not random guys who are from god knows where and their motives are too unclear.
However, she is pretty calm in non-life threatening situations (which is great), but then panics in another non-life threatening situations so she gets into a life-threatening situation... and then goes back to the place where she almost died. I thought she tried to go back, but no. It was for a goddamn battery - if anything happened to her, everybody from her palace would have been killed. If it's just to retreive something then she should have told sb to go with her - especially since it's a place where she almost died before. It not for others then at least be selfish enough to keep yourself safe.
Also - she figured out that it is a truly ancient kingdom so it should be clear that a) if you dont kill, you get killed (she needs to understand asap that you can't judge a period by your own standards especially when you are now in said period); and b) if she were to escape and come across bandits, she might have to live through hell on earth and even worse.
If the emperor wasn't so damn nice to her and behaved like an actual tyrant so that her dislike and fears had a solid basis there wouldn't have been such a contrast between them that makes me so frustratred with her actions. ╥﹏╥
My God, I know it's easy to judge and how on Earth should a person act in that situation but BUT! It's fiction! I demand the heroine to make more logical (or at least safer) choices!! ( ̄へ ̄)

Lovely. This one sided ownership and cheating (okay, not in a relationship but he IS demanding Wataru to stay away from others...) had better come back and bite Bakadori's (fucking fine but right now more fucking TRASHY) ass. I swear to God it he doesn't suffer greatly and baby Wataru accepts him right away, I'm gonna fucking riot!!!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Protect Wataru 2k20!!! He is the only one without a real ally so please people wake up and start siding with him and stopp Bakadori's bullshit behaviour (︶︿︶)=凸

your comment, especially the last sentence, made me lol in real life(≧∀≦) ヾ(☆▽☆)
but I totally get you feelings(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ when the new guy came in the last chapter, since he was nice and hot, I was tempted to maybe let him have a thing with our baby, but than we see he is a bottom and the seme is the one screwing himΣ( ̄□ ̄||) hell no. and then the next day the seme has the guts to say to uke that he is his?!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
agh, the mixed feelings of wanting our baby uke to be happy but knowing the seme is total trash so even if they do end up together (which they probably will ┗( T﹏T )┛) in any case there will definitely be pain ahead for our baby (/TДT)/ the best we can hope for is that seme will get a dose of his one medicine and smarten up( ̄へ ̄)he better learn his lesson and start making up to uke by making him happy(▰˘◡˘▰) or there will be hell to pay ヽ(`Д´)ノ
but seriously, I hate the type of story when the nice uke just forgives shitty seme the second he appoligizes (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 I think one of the reasons why I liked almond o nanatsubu was, spoiler, that seme had to prove his love and gain ukes trust again. it wasn't anything special, but it was 100x more believable than just forgiving them in a sec. I was cheated on by my first serious boyfriend in high school, and it took me quite awhile before I could trust him again and forgive him (I still can totally wrap my head around it, how I could do that, ah, youth). I get we are different people and we all react differently but I think just forgiving your lover (somebody who you trusted the most) for one of the most unforgivable things they could do to you in a sec (like it was nothing big even though it was) is something you do only if you don't treasure yourself. And in that case how can you expect others to respect and treasure you and your feeling if even you don't? Anyway to get back to the manga. I think our baby definetly is the type to take care of himself so he won't let himself get too serious with seme until seme is at least a bit serious as well (like we have seen it in this chapter, that he has to make seme even crazier about him before letting him go any further). and when in situation when uke will be in love but seme not quite yet and then does some shit that will hurt our baby, I think (and hope) that uke will not just sweep it under the rug but will have seme a piece of his mind(๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I wanted to see Gyoon go crazy for Jihye and vice versa. I assumed Gyoon would be the bottom (no clue why...is this the height magic in yaoi??) but my main goal was to see both of them overcome with feelings and happiness and absolutely in love with each others' soul and body. Thus. I. Am. More. Than. Satisfied.(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
They can keep their roles, switch, be a power top/bottom or super vanilla for all I care. I had my predictions but seeing the canon is still 1000% better (Thank Lord, aka the Author, they didn't just cut off contact or some shit that would break my fking heart!!)

Yikes yikes. Can you guys imagine if this was a story from Duke Felix' perspective? One crazy lady is trying to become the duchess, so you are trying to get rid of this golddigger. Suddenly this lady initiated to help him and then schemed on his behalf - can you ca her motives not suspicious? And now, finally, it seems like her scheming has turned against him. She started to manipulate everybody around him and himself as well in order to make him realise (or believe?) he cannot live without her and that it is his fault 100% so he marries her and...she becomes a duchess. If there was another love interest in the picture, Adele would be the second cannon fodder.
Or let's reverse their genders for a moment. Main guy Adolf sees Felicia being harrased by somebody else so he swoops in to help her. After eliminating the other guy he now demands her to love him in return and is trying to manipulate her into being unable to live without him. Felicia is trying to slowly realise her feelings but Adolf demands an answer right away. And it has to be an answer that he agrees with otherwise everybody will believe he was the victim and, therefore, ruin her reputation.
In case you wish to see a longer rant, check my previous comment lol. It wasn't too long ago
Either way - Dear diary. It is day 1283 of reading La dolce vita di Adelaide. I feel like I have witnessed a trainwreck or assasination of a character, since the main heroine is seemingly straying and might soon become a villain in an alternate universe. Though... if it turns out that Adele is the real villain in this story and it will take off from here... that might catapult this story up into the heavens in my rankings! lol

I don’t know, but that just makes Adelaide unique. I don’t want a typical goody two shoes heroine. I want to see a scheming one as well, rather i really want to see a REALLY bad heroin. I want to see scheme vs. Scheme and not a damsel in distress that just thinks about everybody’s welfare and would offer redemption here and there. Jesus i want a proper scheming and tactics. I only see these kind of heroine’s in Chinese novels, they don’t even care if the villain was once good. They only care about is if they are a threat or not, they have hurt them or the people they care about or not. This is also why i love Lucia because she don’t care abot what other people are thinking and just focuses on herself and her future, but then she started developing feelings for duke and nobody was able to come between them, no third party conflict kinda thing? Just pure self reflection and development.

I'd just like to add. I adored this story and have followed it eversince there was just a prologue and 1 chapter. I loved seeing the strong-willed Adele and Felix just slowly falling for her and being amazed again and again by her beauty AND brains. I loved reading this every week - which is exactly why I am now so hard on the story. The disappointment from the initial excitement was just too great for me. The story had a lot of potential - I didn't need another masterpiece where she would become the next emperor via scheming or something... I just needed a decent continuation and ending. And instead with every chapter I see Adele as a manipulator of the only true victim of the situation - Felix. "I love you. You love me, you just don't know it yet. But don't worry, I WILL make you realise it."... if she didn't have the love most people had for her or she wasnt them MC? Girl would have been chased with pitchforks here.

I kinda find it stupid too. Adel is becoming manipulative in a bad way, like she is trying to make the Duke bend his knees and follow her every whims. She is no better than the Saint.
She was the one who initiated the deal to begin with, why is she acting like she is the Victim!
Did the Author forgot? lol!
She even kept on telling the Duke that she will not force him, but is tring to psycho war the Duke.
And this all happen in just mere months, like it was their 1st month when Adel said he loves him.
The Duke with that kind his trauma should've not been able to open up that fast.
The story is helter-skelter. #-.-)

I've been trying to say this but ppl keep ragging on me because ShE's A StROng FeMALe LeAd. I'm like no yulia is strong.. She stands up for herself. Helped adele out and didn't force the prince into liking her. Adele knew what she was getting into and when she was getting spoiled it was all fine. But SHE caught feelings and that's somehow his fault

Well, she really isn't manipulating him? It's more like she is making it a challenge so the duke can understand if he is in love with her or not. And y'all need to see that if they get into a onsided relationship, both of them will end up getting hurt, and Adelaide knows this, and that is why she is placing these challenges on the duke to realize his feelings.
It's either, A. He chases her back to her mansion, and that shows Adele that he truly likes her. Or B. He doesn't do shit, and Adele avoids a relationship that will hurt her.
And like one of the comments said, sure, nice heroins are cool and all, but after so many of them, it gets boring. I also want some badass heroins that don't give a shit (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

There are baddass heroins that don't psycho war their partner just because they fell in love first.
I know what you are getting thru with Adel wanting to make sure she is in a relationship where the guy loves her too, but she is too pushy.
She was the one who first thought of their act, but she was the one to fall first and now she wants to know right away if the Duke loves her?
Like it has been maybe 2-3 months and the Duke has Phobia with women, not even talking to them, because of her stepmom and already opened up to her about that she should've known better!

From my point of view though, forcing a relationship isn't any better. Speaking realistically, she would make him decide in a hurry and what if later he realises he made the wrong decision only because he didn't have enough time and holds it against her almost resenting her? How is that a healthy relationship? I'm not sure if it was true, but somebody has pointed out that it has been a month since they met, so at best a week since "her confession"... she wanted to "give him time because she understands he needs space", proceeds to a few days later force an answer out of him. Yeah, very understanding...
And Adele definitely isnt the "I don't give a shit" type - isn't she instead giving too much shit? She tries to force an answer, then disappear to trigger a reaction but before that acts pitiful for others to see that the one at fault is Duke Felix and not her who broke the agreement in the first place. If she didn't give a shit, then just play with Susan till happy and scram once all is done leaving the duke missing her as a byproduct of her actions and not the goal.
The tropes of nice, ditzy, clumsy heroines is dying - we have so many webtoons, novels, and even mangas where the female leads stand up for each other and literally fight for their lives. And Adele is unfortunately not one of them. She is aiming for what is known as "blackened lotus flower". Acts all nice for others but is scheming to the core.

It's so sad when you think about it. In the original timeline - everyone was a victim and was hurting so much. The parents lost their baby girl, the boys felt like they lost their parents to Hari even though Hari never felt like she belonged. The adults though should have handled the situation much better right from the beginning. While it would have been impossible to feel like a real family, at least they wouldn't all feel abandoned. I don't want to comment on the story, since I've read the raws and don't remember what belonged where (admittedly it was only up till chap15), but it is not hard at all to understand the story from the boys' perspective as well and not dislike them for bullying her (/TДT)/

I think it's hard to judge them by these unrealistic standards we uphold our characters to. While they could have been kind, you have to remember they were/are still children who feel like they have lost everything to a stranger who does not deserve it (who they might think deceived their mom). Hari didn't have anything, she was used to it which is why she never retaliated - can you say now that she isn't slightly retaliating by taking all affection and care? She feels something is out of place and feels a little bit guilty making them cry but isn't she an adult now at the end of the day? Why is an adult bullying children? The boys might have felt some resentment towards Arina as well because she was sick so their parents never paid attention to them so now with healthy Hari they have somewhere to vent. I don't excuse them for that, but I don't condemn it either. In fact, I think it's very human and if they accepted her with open arms and "Call me oppa!", it would have been cute but unrealistic.
Lastly, do we even know the scope of things to hate them so much? How did her bully her to leave her without scars, alive and well? Emotional scars are a thing but she still seemed to think of them and not resent them. At the end of the day, the parents died 1 year in and yet Hari still lived well (especially if you consider her previous situation in which she would have died, been sold into a brothel or as a slave) and her brother still arranged a good marriage for her. You might feel like "pf, marriage, great, selling her off" but this is the middle ages. A woman without a good husband is unfortunately also doomed. I still believe the situation might have been a great misunderstanding and kids just perceive things we would perceive as normal siblings' rivalry as extreme bullying and now that she is an adult maybe she will see things differently. But who knows, I might be wrong. We are only 10-15 chapters in.
I am not trying to make you change your opinion but the double standard things rubbed me wrong. If this was the story told from a perspective of 3 boys, rightful heirs, whose sister died and suddenly a suspicious came in seemingly manipulating their parents' affection, I don't think anybody in the comments would have been kind to Hari.
Either way, if you've read till here, thank you for hearing me out and have a lovely day! I love me a debate on webtoons ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
MY HEART!!! THIS IS SO PRECIOUS OMFG!!! (/TДT)/
