It had such great premise, but seems half-baked at best. They put in so many plot points that seemed so rushed, they didn’t properly get into most of them, especially the main one: FL and ML relationship. There was barely any romance or time for progress between them, they didn’t have time to develop actual chemistry and we barely saw any of their actual romantic relationship. The plot about the princess, war and especially her staying over for good was just rushed through. Even the main black hood point was rushed, so much important information just kind of skimmed through. Didn’t like how the princess just got away with everything. We never saw MLs skills properly either. Not much shown of kids or MLs friends in the end either. It’s just… kind of half-baked at best.
I don’t think that goddess was evil. Dense and ignorant? That’s more like it. I mean, she pretty much gave her a god-like power and then wanted to bring her to celestial domain. Many people would kill for a power and afterlife like that, FL just isn’t one of them. Most gods in fiction are self-centered, I mean… they kind of represent people in the highest power achievable (humans are also self-centered, some less than others, the more power and status the more overall), she hurt the FL in the end, but I don’t think she did out of malice or evil, more like ignorance. Seems like she genuinely wanted to help her in her own way, but can’t understand that it’s not what she wants
For sure, but the questions also is, was that what these people wanted? Because as I’ve said, more than plenty of people would like a life like that, hell many would probably kill for it. Many artists probably would also be happy to get power and recognition like this and then die young with their legacy left on (I’m an artist and went to art school, so I think art history wise genuinely, especially in that era, many would be okay with it I think)
If you look at it from a artists perspective it may be nice
But look at it as a depressive person with one single hobby that makes them happy and suddenly they can't even have their one happiness anymore cause of the art disease, sure the extremely talented ones die and go to the celestial realm but remember Karina's doctor he was losing his eyesight for the embroidery, remember everyone mentioned in the beginning a sculptor that lose the movements of their hands
Yes you can always say that in the end is gonna be a dream death but is gonna be a hell of a life
To be fair, a good chunk, if not majority, of artists are depressed (same with me, so don’t gotta imagine it). Many also use art as their coping mechanism. I’m not denying that their life would be difficult or saying all of them would’ve wanted that, I’m just saying at least some probably would be more than okay to pay this price for what they get in return. The god isn’t a good person, gods literally never are, but I just don’t think she’s evil. That’s all

He’s so trying to pull them apart. I wish she didn’t stuck to the original so hard, she already knows crown prince stuck by a side of rapist, psycho emperor. In what world would he be a good person/character?
I think she is starting to see that. Before he was the ML of the book she got isekaied so somewhere he must be nice v
