Lmao Yohan was so cute when he barged in and whined about Yosef not asking him what's wrong. "I do not like that," he said(/TДT)/ He's so precious

Anyways, brunette seems to be bad news. Go away pls

greensilverscarf March 11, 2021 3:28 pm

Finally!!!! Some plot movement! I started to read this to destress but instead, it amplifies my bad mood lmao

Hope they'll stick to the novel now, lots of interesting stuff there that I wanna see in 2D (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when Akari was first presented to Hinata, he was a child, and I don't think they slept together? Hinata saw Akari was having a hard time to breathe because of his divine energy, so he pretended to accept Akari right away to fck, but midway, he said Akari was too thin and uncomfortable to hold so he said to put on some weight. I thought it ended there and Hinata waited for Akari to grow up before they actually started to fck because in the next scene where they are implied to have slept together, Akari looked healthy & a little bit older.

It's all a deduction, tho! Everything was presented very vague & I'm not sure with this either. I might be in denial because bedding a child is illegal lol jail time for you deity

    Carmel March 10, 2021 8:12 pm

Woah that what I thought too and since he wasn't eating enough to he must have been extra small compared to a healthy child his age...

    imnotcheap March 10, 2021 10:55 pm

Right! like i’m pretty sure that it stated that the only way a normal person could handle being in the same room the god was contained in was if that person and the god slept together ? So he most definitely slept with him as a child then

    Kirika42 March 10, 2021 11:08 pm

    That’s what I thought too

greensilverscarf March 10, 2021 11:37 am

Doah is pitiful, but he hasn't even started his redemption process yet. All he's doing now is beg for Hyunoh's attention which what he had been doing since this manhwa started. I am looking forward to see him change, tbh. Seeing him cry makes me pity him, but his actions were far too grave, so Hyunoh is in the right not to forgive him yet.

I was wondering if mc is really an orphan/slave? It was explained she could read & write when she was young, and knowing commoners' lifestyle back then, isn't education as early as that is only given to nobles? Hmn

I am so in love with this slow burn. Their little banter is already enough for me to feel ecstatic. I love this sm (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Honestly, the gap in their relationship rooted from their different love language. Yoonsung prefers physical & quality time, while Siwon prefers acts of service and that one I forgot lol. (There's a website for this if you wanna know your love language) Knowing your partner's love language is important because people give & receive love differently. Difference usually causes break up, but these two MCs really love each other so they make the relationship work.

I also think the cheating misunderstanding bit is a little nonsensical since if they were truly together for a long time, confrontation would be faster but it's the plot the author chose lol. I think it's silly, but I'm not mad at it. It's nothing worth cursing fictional characters over. Lots of stories have silly plot foundation that won't make sense in real life but they're enjoyable nonetheless

I really enjoyed this and I'm happy that they're happy ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

    don’t close mountain March 6, 2021 8:54 am

You explained the love language concept really well and I totally agree!

    ALisAnimeLover March 10, 2021 4:59 pm

Yeah, the misunderstanding was simply rooted on their lack of communication Then again, they haven't been talking about their issues for forever. I guess that's the problem if the couple is too lax and brush off any problem they encounter, so when faced with a big problem (cheating), they couldn't talk about it. I'm glad they're starting to work on it though ✧(>o<)ノ✧

I really felt alone when ppl here were wishing In Suh to get hit by a car haha because I don't hate him at all, but I do acknowledge he had bad sides to him like everyone else. Relationship isn't a one-way thing, both In Suh & Ham made mistakes, and I'm glad they're talking it out without playing the blame game. Ham is about to start a new chapter of his life (hopefully with Yechan) and I hope In Suh finds his happiness as well

It is a fact that a reader's opinion is hugely impacted by whose POV the story is told, because I can't believe ppl are justifying Jeonghan's shttyness. You can acknowledge he did help Iljo even tho he didn't have to, but do not deny he's overdoing it for his sick superiority complex.

Some go as far as saying Iljo is indeed just a broke, jobless man in his thirties to prove he is pathetic and helpless while taking it lightly that he endured a hard life with no one by his side, so they can justify that Jeonghan is not doing anything wrong.

Iljo grew up in hiding because he's an illegitimate child. When his only ally - his father - got sick, he was the one who took care of him. I think a lot of you are sheltered & privileged because some of you don't understand it's hard to take care of a bedridden patient (a loved one, too!!) while having no financial support. This was also the reason he couldn't get a decent job. I mean, he can't take shifts and lock his dad in a room without no one to monitor him. And after all his sacrifices, he didn't get even a penny from his father's last will & testament. He had to restart life with no foundation, already old, and no one to support him. Jeonghan knows this, but he doesn't cut Iljo some slack - and that's honestly fine, but then again he was the one who insisted to take Iljo in when Iljo already refused. Iljo was in a position he needs all the help he can get so I get why he would agree when asked multiple times.

About the creepy kiss, Jeonghan was rightfully disturbed and it was right to kick Iljo out, but we all know Iljo got sick so it's not happening yet. This was where he started to show his sick personality. He knew what happened to Iljo's life to an extent, and he had a grasp of Iljo's personality, but he find it pleasurable that he can make Iljo uncomfy by giving him things he know Iljo couldn't afford. He admitted it himself - he liked seeing Iljo helpless. Jeonghan is not straight, it was mentioned when he was drinking with his friends, that he got together with guys, too. So he's not making Iljo struggle mentally with his "kindness" because he is homophobic, he literally just likes it. He likes seeing someone have a hard time because he is privileged. You can't see anything wrong with that? You think it's in his right to act that way to a person he knows is already fcking struggling??? A lot of us likes to help ppl because we like to feel nice sometimes, but do you also enjoy seeing people helpless??

I honestly thought this would be a fluffy read, but I am staying because in a fiction's perspective, it is interesting that we're seeing the story through Jeonghan's eyes - who is a person with not so pleasant views. I like him as a character, but I acknowledge he is a piece of shit. Do not justify his actions. He is realistic alright, a realistic douchebag.

I've seen a loved one in similar situations with Iljo and seeing ppl downplay his hard life is infuriating

I agree when my grandmother got sick me and my mom had to take turns staying home; her from work and me from school. It was hard and sadly to pay bills and not be held back we had to put her in a home which to this day we still regret, miss that lady she was my best friend.

And don't forget the flashback. Jeonghan has had that shitty personality since he was kid ◔◔

Very much agree with the points of your "essay" :), I think it's really on point.

Actually I was so frustrated with the topic at hand, I ultimately ended up writing one as well (T▽T) I suppose the manhwa is doing a really good job storywise in that sense, considering it's gripping and inspiring actual strong emotions and empathy like this.

That, too! Little Iljo was really bubbly back then and he was happy to meet a potential friend but Jeonghan was a little ass to him, and it seems he brought that attitude into adulthood. He has a lot learn about human decency. I'm excited how the author is going with this
