I’m surprised more people aren’t reading this! It’s surprisingly really good. I love the comedy mixed with wholesomeness mixed with food. I do wish we could see more cooking, less romance drama though.
I think the author missed the opportunity to name this Corn Soup. It would’ve been such a good title. My favorite thing about this, is the communication. I’m so happy the miscommunication doesn’t continue for 10+ chapters like most Webtoons (for the most part). I will definitely continue to read this!
This story is a good example of how making a story too fast paced can be detrimental to the plot.
How I would’ve went about it is, introduce the MC and show that she’s been abused and how she’s trying to break free. It’s not like she had friends in her previous life from what we saw, so her buddying up with her roommates so quickly was odd to me. The author could’ve made a little tension upon them first meeting especially with her unique hair color. Her roommates are hesitant to get to know her. Not mean but hesitant. Maybe the MC sticks up for the commoner girl because she understands what it’s like to be outcasted. Boom, they see that she’s an alright person and start to form a friendship.
I always hate that the guy that I want to be the ML is never the ML. I know authors do this shit on purpose because shaggy brown haired guy would’ve been *chefs kiss*.
The author is making everything fast paced EXCEPT for the MCs personality. MC is not interesting. She’s strong but no one really knows that. Like someone else mentioned, being humble can come off as insincerity. I’m annoyed at her hiding her powers. One of the tropes I hate. “I can’t let anyone know how skilled or strong I am so I stay out of the spotlight.” And then something happens where they’re forced to show their skills and now EVERYONE and they mama knows how strong they are now. Doing all that hiding just to have your powers exposed in an anticlimactic scene. Okay. I’m done.
I think the story isn't that well planned. It's kinda boring but I really like how things are escalating in this chapter. I still think author is gonna disappoint and they're not setting the characters well for this plot. But the art is okay, I like the mundane school setting and I like reading this when my faves aren't updating lol. The reverse harem is bound to make me drop this tho. Like nah, you're too old to be moved by this teenage love.
I’m dropping this. I don’t like anyone.
The MC is fine. I just don’t quite understand what her goals are. I’m chalking that up mostly due to the bad translation (thank you to the translators nonetheless!). The crown prince is weird as fuck. The pope is weird as fuck. The crown princes brother is weird as fuck.
I’m going to assume the pope is the ML but I don’t feel nothing.
The MCs family is dope as hell. 10/10 would want them to adopt me.
There’s just no chemistry with any of the characters. I just…no. I usually love stories like this too. I was sad to not enjoy it.
I want to hear y’all’s theories! Do you think he’s on some federal undercover shit or some scheming gangster shit?
When Shin was having his little monologue, I was like, “don’t tell me this motherfucker is a cop.” Honestly, both theories could make perfect sense!
I love that we’re seeing more of how they do care for each other through body language and actions but it’s unspoken. S3 is going to be spectacular and the waiting is going to kill me.
I see where both sides are coming from. At the end of the day, it’s all fiction but of the main reasons I’ve stopped reading yaoi was because of the pointless SA. Most of it is done by MLs anyway. I adore mafia, action, yakuza, etc stories. So when I get one of these that happen to be yaoi, there’s bound to be SA which sucks.
I skipped over the scene since there was a warning which I appreciated (I wish more stories would do this). Authors can write whatever, but we as the audience and consumer have a right to critique this shit all day, everyday.
I’m tired of authors throwing SA in stories for no plot device. I’ve been reading yaoi since I was17 and I’m now in my mid 20s and I just can’t stomach it anymore.
I know there are people who enjoy dark and twisted stories. Hell, I do. I love a good crazy, unhinged, toxic relationship. Gimme all of that without the SA please. I promise it’ll still be a good story. Art was spectacular and the story is still good nonetheless!
This one is really good so far! The MC is stunning and has a great personality IMO. She’s not a pushover and I feel she’ll become more soft/empathetic as the story continues. Also, love that the romance didn’t start right off jump (25 chapters in and it still hasn’t started). It seems like it’ll be a slow burn and I’m honestly here for it. Red haired guy is going to get on my last nerves though. I can already tell.
I’m for real when I say that this has to be one of the most dramatic stories I’ve read. “He’s crazy.” Yeah, crazy in love! The ML showed her time and time again that he loved her and she was still acting like this man was on some bullshit. Girl, what? I’m tired of seeing ole boy suffer! Seven years of suffering at that. ML is truly down bad for this woman! Anyways, dropped.

The amount of secondhand embarrassment while reading this was astounding. The ML is a dick through and through. You would think after 30 chapters, there’d be some character development where he would treat her like someone who is precious to him whether that’s as a future partner or his first female friend that he doesn’t want to lose. I know there’s this whole, “people pick on their crushes” thing. Usually, I don’t mind this trope but it could’ve been done better. I love a nice tsundere story but it’s just not giving. There is something seriously wrong with a story if we cannot see the characters CLEARLY grow.
