Okay story is amazing, pacing is amazing and the characters??? I’m trying so hard not to objectify but can’t help it when Han Maru is chapter 32ing and Eden, and the captain and the gorgeous ladies and the evil director. The artist is blessed and blessing us in all the right ways.
Speaks to how poorly society treats queer people because I seriously struggled to understand how the Duke was being so naive about how he and Jace would be treated if this was it he really world. Made me so worried when he announced their love to the world. Really lovely story, refreshing to read.
honestly i think it was clever of the author to show his naïveté bc he’s the duke and rich and surrounded by ‘yes’ men so he’s really shielded towards what life is like for regular folks but he does get a rude awakening
Okay. I should’ve marinated but I read this like a sucker at 15 chapters…. I don’t know why I thought it would be trash but it’s the opposite and now I have to suffer waiting for updates. Pain.

This is so underrated and cute. The story is perfectly execute what it tries to do. Engaging characters and so freaking funny too. So glad I read this.
Wtf? This is amazing. And subverted my expectations practically at every turn. You have competent but terribly painful MC, admittedly broken, selfish, petty, greedy. An ML who’s your typical orange flag Seme but he’s the one to surrender first. An annoying younger brother who’s unabashed transactional capitalist attitude along with his genuine love of his brother. A bodyguard who isn’t benevolent angel of the MC but actually doesn’t like him too much. The characters are actually really thought out. An intriguing plot?? Like everything is there to make a thoroughly amazing work.
The romance in particular was so well done. They were so horrible to each other, there were points I couldn’t bear the read how they were tearing each other apart but the equal toxicity makes it so I don’t feel like I’m torturing myself. The MC is such an intriguing character, I love that he’s a total douche. All the soft moments felt so precious and earned. I think I cried at the chapter after his drugging accident.
It’s a really precious work that can make me feel sad, angry, happy and so enthralled I couldn’t look away. I wish we got more side stories and wish there was 10 additional chapters to tie it all up (definitely a little rushed at the end).

Stopping at 75 because I love this sooooo much and I can’t bear waiting for updates. Don’t tell me how illogical that is. I don’t know why I hesitated so much to read this but trusting this author who wrote my favorite BL, I did and I am both so glad I did and glad I waited it out a decent amount. The cliffhanger chapters before hiatuses are all stupid amazing. I can’t handle the tension.
How gay this is is directly proportional to how much I want to read this. And it’s not even that gay. I hope it gets fruitier, will be eating that up. Otherwise the art is really nice. 90% of the scenes with the female characters are just them doing “sexy” poses so rolling my eyes at that.
