I LOVE perfume and I wanted to love this so much but the SA is such a no. But I will say the scent profile that’s popular in Japan is really interesting. Generally more subdued, clean scents are popular there. I think it’s to do with the culture of unobtrusiveness. Always wanted to try Japanese niche brands. But anyway, this BL is just okay.

I really really loved this and I appreciate the complexity of the uke and relationship a lot. I wonder if it’s a cultural thing that’s maybe lost in translation, the moving away and leaving things unresolved, the talk about selfishness. I thought it was really interesting. Particularly in the last episode where the MC has a conversation with the part timer, telling him to go grab his happiness followed by the MC saying he didn’t notice ML’s selfishness. I choose to interpret it as him realizing that ML wasn’t letting go because he loved him (which he knows but sometimes you need that kick to realize it.)
The ML is very human here and selfish in more ways than one. Him being unsure of his attraction and him not telling MC about the move were not great things to do.
I found this so terribly romantic at parts, in a way other works never really do. The way MC held ML’s face the first night together, the way they talked to each other, the way they looked at each other. So very very beautiful. This is really particularly because of mundanity of the romance and its flaws.

I did not expect anything but wow, this is perfect??? The art is chef’s kiss, the romance perfection, the Seme is soooo fine. I cannot ask for more. I also really enjoyed how they talked, the conversations they shared, the uke’s easy acceptance of his bisexuality. Everything is just perfect. Also, the normal sized D’s were so nice to see too haha

Just here to say, I hope the author continues and I truly hope fans in both camps can touch some grass and not try to out cancel each other. It would be fucked up to bully either author over this.
Really believe Kyou shouldn’t have brought it up so publicly if they had no proof. 95% of BLs are just taking inspiration from other BLs. It’s nothing new and even if there are similarities, a distinct enough work absolutely stands on its own.
But fans going so far as to call Kyou names or demonizing them will NOT help the situation at all.

Not just the art style, Kyou accused Yangma of copying elements of the story, panels, character traits etc. I personally don't see any considerable resemblance that would warrant any claim of plagiarism, apart from some generic similarities that have been used in multiple works even before Shutline. And I'm sad cause I love both stories and it seems the whole thing is a stressful mess. Unless there's any convincing proof that there was plagiarism involved, I hope Kyou can resolve this asap.

I'm leaving room for the 1% chance that perhaps there's something we don't know/can't tell from our side, cause Kyou is talking about legal action, but I'm still like.. what am I missing?? Why would a person blow this issue up if there's nothing to support their claims? It's kinda scary to think someone could be delusional to this degree. I just wish that both of them are ok after all this tbh

People are saying there is a grudge here.
This author new with low backing and Kyou has been after them since the debut?
It's hard to say what is going on...but Kyou seems to have off the deep end on this and it's leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth because there is no evidence it's just common yaoi tropes repackaged with some common trope seme/use designs.
That's all that's going on, but Kyou is taking it as a personal attack on themselves and their story...
Just weird and sad...for everyone, especially us fans who feel torn.

dude if there were any actual similarities the obsessive fans would have already picked them up and made analytical threads on them, but i see nothing that backs up the plagiarism accusation, plus Shutline author have also been harassing Flashlight author for over a year now even pushed her to change the artsyle and their story plotlines, shutline author went as far as to say they plagiarised a bathrob scene LIKE HUH?? They accuse them of plagiarism for love a year but they still haven't provided proofs to back their claim and left it in the hands of the readers to decide?? ,thats stupid

Yeah it's very strange. But like I said, we're simply on the outside and all we can do is decide for ourselves without knowing everything that's olayed out btwn them. I'm not gonna go on a witch-hunt, I feel bad for both - even for Kyou, cause who knows if there's smth serious going on with her that led her to drag this out. I just wish she'd settle and if this was all unfounded to apologize appropriately to Yangma for the damage so they can move on.

Cue Troy walking in with a pizza and the whole fucking room is burning down…
I hope this gets resolved amicably asap and I would be sooo sad to see this manwha effected in any way over this.
People need to chill and stop hating on either Kyou or the other author. And fans should absolutely not be sending dumbass messages to either party.

Wait a hot damn minute. I never finished the main story but read enough to know both characters. I’m astonished they were paired up AND they have a spin off. Most out of left field side couple ever but I fuck with this hard!! And I usually hate side couples.
I found the MC and relationship (OG story) lacked a certain je nai sais quio but this two psychos have heaps of chemistry and personality.

Wow, I cried like 3 times or more reading this. There’s something so special about this work. The setting, the art, the dialogue it slayed me on a Monday. it felt freeing. Mired in youth and life has felt hopeless and sometimes so incandescently hopeful, with a foot on the skateboard and yellow nail polish. All these feeling that you can’t put into words but describe around it.
The MCs parents hurt me where the heart is. Them telling him to enjoy his youth, his parents getting their nails painted. The scarf!! I only caught on it was rainbow coloured when he describes it as such. I think I cried twice in succession.
The effortless reality of his and the MLs queerness. His wonderfully forgiving ex gf. I can’t deal with it. It makes me feel… I’m not even a social media but I loved how it is used here. The fundamental themes of loneliness in a digital age and wanting to find connections.
The final lines where the MC is talking about how agonizing it is as a child waiting for something and as an adult, time passing in a blink and his anticipation for meeting the ML again to show how even though it’s a short wait, his anticipation made him aware of the passage of time. So effectively written and conveyed.
is the world I want to live in the world of this manga. As a customer in MCs in Nail salon, as a follower of ML on insta and to be besties with the other clients, to be adopted by his parents.
Uhm, why is this rated so low? It’s exactly my type of BL. Angsty, plot focused, buff MC and ML, slow burn. Need I go on? It’s perfect and I hope it’s decently handled.
Most peeps don't like this type of uke also we are only at chp 13 so we shouldn't give ratings immediately. But I agree with you the art ,plot and angst is beautiful
What a shame they don't like it this gives me rk900 x Gavin Reed vibes and that's my fav pairing from detroit become human
We are kindred spirits because I’m about a step away from diving deep into this exact pairing haha.
Two steps ahead of ya already rereading rk900/Gavin fics LOL
Is that a manhwa?
