the angst is so on point, i feel bad for mc because she keeps trying to be considerate so she hides her emotions or events that happen between her/her first love. but the best friend keeps catching their moments at the wrong times and makes it seem like mc is being sneaky when in reality she actually really cares and doesn’t wanna hurt her :’)
love the dynamic between ml and fl. if u are considering reading it, you def should bc the build up of the plot and their relationship makes it so worth it. also his “gap” of being super sweet but cold never gets tiring!! he’s so baby girl

usually trans rep in mainstream manga can be pretty dire, but i love how gender dysphoria and also just family/society relationships are portrayed through this authors lens. it’s very refreshing that nao has someone like her niece that never changed after she came out. most of the focus is on nao feeling more like herself rather than making her the butt of the joke or invalidation her identity which is honestly repairing my faith in manga writers. the way her niece somewhat shelters her from people’s transphobic behaviors in public also makes me sob so much just bc both of them deserve to exist without ridicule. this is such a good story all around and it can have me in tears or smiling until my cheeks hurt all in the same chapter
