I have memory of a gold fish and I’m gonna start reading it again, just skimming to remember everything.
But, as you know the ML is the red flag just like his hair colour. Just gonna give some major, not detailed spoilers cuz as I said, I don’t really have a good memory.
MC has a friend(don’t remember his name but he appears in manhwa too) and his friend is love with a noble girl. The ML gets the marriage offer from that noble girl’s family, and he isn’t interested in her cuz he’s obsessed with our MC. The MC asks him and tries to talk to him about it but what ML does, he says yes to the marriage and then blackmails the MC to do what he wants.
Then he r4pes him, confines him in a room. And let me tell, everyone knows what the ML is doing and cuz they were already faking dating shit so yeah like it’s known for them to do.
It isn’t the end. It’s slow burn. Like slow slow burn and so many political discussions. If the manhwa is being too accurate to the novel, this is gonna be in 70s or 80s chapters but they shouldn’t. The political stuff is too much. I’ll update ya after re-reading it. I have missed almost 1000 words of explanation between this. Forgive me. There were many interesting scenes as well but I’m just the worst person to give spoiler paragraphs.

The reason the age gap is being ignored cuz the story actually seems good! The pacing is good, the suspense, the plot seems interesting. It would have been any other age gap and sus bl but the plot is here to save the day
i think bc the age gap here is used for the plot. MC was essentially groomed by the ML not for romantic reasons, but to silence him... also the ML doesn't look like he has romantic feelings towards MC at all? his "love" seems to be a possession to get what he wants. truly a horror story tbh lol
Tbh, I think it’s too early to deduce if it was to silence. I’d what detective said is exactly true then the story wouldn’t be interesting. I’m pretty much sure there’s more to it. ML actions show he cares but there’s an obsession as well. Seems like there’s more to it. I don’t think what detective said is 101% true cuz then the story will just end.
there's no other reason why he would choose to adopt the mc so the idea of ml keeping the mc close to him to silence him makes sense. also, whether it's obsession or possessiveness towards mc, we still can't deny that mc has been groomed by ml
