I never really understood the purpose of marriage, yes it’s a vow to be with each other forever but I always thought it’s possible to be together without having to legal tie the knot and on the opposite spectrum there are people who get married and later on divorce, breaking that lifelong vow. But recently I realized how much of an assurance marriage could be for some people, especially LGBT couples. Some countries unfortunately still haven’t legalized gay marriage and due to that it can cause a lot of uncertainties and insecurities bc unlike “normal” couples they don’t have a “proof” of their love other than their feelings, sure some people don’t need that proof and are comfortable living without it but others that proof secures them and is a constant reminder of their love. I really hope there comes a day where all countries can legalize gay marriage to also give gay couples that sense of security and a “proof” of their love.

I fucking knew it, Riley was the problem to their relationship. I understand Riley on wanting to announce their relationship since he was already out and comfortable with how everyone sees him but for Owen it’s a different story, he wasn’t out yet, he has more eyes on him and clearly his dad is homophobic to this day. Coming out isn’t easy and Riley should’ve known that but was still pushing Owen and accusing him of cheating (how the hell does that work) because he was fucking insecure.
