Okay I know everyone probably disagrees but after every chapter I just get this feeling, so I want to try to put it into words:
I kinda hope MC values ML a bit more rather than ignoring him or treating him like something he only cares about when he needs something. ik a lot of people like “powerful being kissing my feet and doing my bidding+sexy scenes” romances but I was imagining MC caring for/focusing on ML and ML being head over heels end-of-the-world in love with a kind MC. (Not just a possessive that he could have of an object too.)
I wish it was more focused on the romance! Hear me out.♀
Their romance is motivated by the ML because of him doing the end of the world thing and MC wanting to stop it+the system wanting him to gain favor and stop it. And now a dragon fetish???why does the ML (need to?) flash his scales to try to get MC’s attention.
MC is doing all this work on his land to keep the system happy, and goes to ML when he wants to have sex or needs something from him. ML isn’t mad about it he’s usually just goes “So you’ll do me a favor in return right? We’ll have sex?” the ML only cares about MC being his and sex lol
idk how to explain it just feels hollow. Like, I giggle and kick my feet when they interact too but it doesn’t feel like a deep love between them.
Will their love change overtime? Sooner than later?
Rn it kinda feels like a “see him rule this land” story with a romance B plot. I also need to reread so I probably misremembered a lot!!! From what I remember though this is true? Idk

Personally I find this story very unique because of their dynamic.
ML is very not human-like because he's a dragon. Maybe if he was too happy, he'd wanna destroy solath and kidnapped MC altogether lol.
And MC just loves his monsters so much. That's so like mad scientist and I'm so in love with that lol. It's so funny to see him having to run around fixing stuff and diffusing the ticking time bomb aka ML.

Personally, I actually like the way things are developing. Early on, the ML had almost no rapport with Eyra because he was convinced his destined mate was still out there somewhere. He purposely kept their relationship shallow to avoid falling for his “play lover,” just in case he met his true mate one day. It's like being in a relationship where the other person isn't fully committed.
Meanwhile, Eyra has genuinely liked Yanu from the start for who he is, even knowing he probably wasn't human. It wasn’t until after that specific event where they fought against each other that Yanu actually started to develop feelings for Eyra.
Yanu even clearly stated before that he only love his destined mate, which explains why his initial rapport with Eyra was so low. Of course Eyra would feel a little heartbroken, but he knows his self-worth and isn’t about to let Yanu treat him like a backup plan. I honestly like this dynamic because it feels like a chasing arc and Yanu kind of deserves to have to work for it.

I totally agree with you here. Yanu was just doing whatever he wanted and kind of stringing the MC along, but now that he thinks that Eyra is his mate, he wants him. Eyra has the right to play hard to get (although we can see how much he wants Yanu) after all, his life and estate are on the line. Plus, the rapport is building steadily this way lol

Her breast being out was not necessary loll. This story is great except for how the female characters are treated by the author. (I’m not just talking about the pirate girl) but why does she have to blush around MC??! can’t she just be badass without the whole love interest part? I love herrrrr!) imo the “romance” doesn’t add to the story very unnecessary :/
Who ends a season in the middle of a kidnapping plot?! You have to resolve the current conflict and then in S2 we deal with the black swan in full! THIS SHOULD BE A SEASON FINALE NOT A ALLURING CLIFFHANGER BFFR
