in my country, there's this thing called "anybody can be the worst person alive but the moment you start mentioning about someone's parent, you should just die".
as much as i love jinhyeong and songrik, i hope they never ever cross paths ever again. their friendship or what people called "found-family trope" are beyond repairable. it's toxic and suffocating for both of them. songrik could've CONFRONT jinhyeong immediately after he went to his house and jinhyeong could've just ASK. ask if he's okay, things like that.
but nope. both of them decided that their cases, tragedies, backstories are far worse than each other instead of opening up and bond over that. both of them are so afraid that whatever they're keeping are spilling, plastering them with lies of being so strong for each other (songrik are the most noticeable), and yet no broken tank can be fixed with just a few duct tapes. it won't work, it'll blow up and create a bigger mess. and that's what happened to their relationship.
none of them are innocent. both of them are bad. bad to each other. two negatives make a positive yes, but a negative plus a negative will never make a positive.

poor guy, everyone struggles differently but i can feel songrik's pain. he had a house that he can't even call home, had to earn money on his own despite being only a middle schooler, no parents for him to look up to, and can't even have a decent meal everyday.
jinhyeong handled the situation very badly. he could've pulled songrik away from the door and talked to him about it yet he chooses to shush him out due to being afraid to embarrass his father in front of his neighbors.
im not against rich people or whatever, but the ones that i met almost always loves to find people severely weaker than them to rant to when they're a little depressed. when they feel better, they went back to their lives, not even considering what the weaker feels too.
any stories similar to what jae acted in tho?
